I was enchanted with this unit from the moment I saw it because of its high pecky cypress ceilings and southwestern exposure and because it retains some historic touches (fireplace, fanlight windows, beams) from the Hotel's hay day in the 1920s. The apartment is flooded with a wonderful golden light at sunset and has nice views of the Breakers and Biltmore, as well as a glimpse of the Intracoastal. It's like taking a step back in time to a more gracious era.
What makes this condo unique
It's across the street from a newly refurbished Publix superstore, which has a video rental kiosk in the lobby, so shopping is extraordinarily convenient if you are not up for expensive Palm Beach dining every night. You can rent a bicycle from the bike shop in the building and ride along the Intracoastal. Wonderful French bakery also in the building. And I've just purchased a transferable parking placard that enables my tenants to park in designated spots within a block for an unlimited period of time.
