The 3 bedroom Tommy Bahama Island House has Old Florida Charm with original hardwood floors, 32 ' flat LCD color TV in Master Bedroom, Wall mounted LCD color TV in guest bedroom . stereo and CD player, DVD. New Posturpedic Firm mattresses with new designer linens and comforters in all rooms , as well as Feather Pillows. Tommy Bahama Island wood furniture, designer decorated and well appointed house. Classic charming beach house with small front and rear porch. This 1920s beach house had an interior update in 2007 with new bathroom, tile floors, original wood floors, new roofs and furniture. You step off the back porch and walk 300-400 steps and your on the beach.(This house is not directly on the sand) If rented, we have 1,2 ,&3 bedroom Cottages for rent.

The stainless steel gas BBQ grill is located in back yard of cottages, .This house is 7 blocks walk or 7 minutes to famous Pier 60 for nightime entertainment and restuarants.

Amenities: Community swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball, boat ramp. library and childrens playground just across steet and 3 blocks over. Free playground, bbq grill, bocci courts and park across street. Jolly Trolley just outside, runs every 30 minutes. Commercial BBQ grill, fishing poles, beach chairs, umbrella and tent free for your use. outside. 18 foot boat for trips to islands available WIFI and direct computer

There are 10 rental Cottages, Beach Apartments or Houses in this group called Clearwater Cottages. All of the rentals are on the beach side of Mandalay Ave, next to each other from Glendale St. to Idlewild st. We do not just leave the key and instructions, but have onsite management. Our staff and Capt. Al will insure that all your vacation needs are met and you have a great beach vacation. Never a charge for beach chairs, umbrellas, fishing poles. We appreciate return Guests and referrals. Never an extra charge for early check in or late check out when available. Spend the whole day and enjoy America's best beach.

Things to do near the Cottages: The beach is 300 -400 yards walk just down the block (less than one minute)

Pier 60 with vendors, entertainers, fishing pier, bands and nighttime activities 7 blocks walk,about 10 minutes.

Frenchy's Rockaway Seafood Restaurant and Palm Pavilion outdoor waterfront restaurants 4 blocks walk. Live music at both and directly on the sand.State of the art Olympic size adult pool and children's play pool, showers, lifeguard, recreation center, tennis and basketball, library and boat ramp just across the street and 3 blocks walk ) Free children's playground and park with bocci courts, rides, BBQ grill just across the street, two block down on Mandalay Ave. Trolley and bus stop just outside next block. Hello Friends and thank you for visiting my profile. Originally from New Jersey and my first mate from San Francisco, I spent my youth at the Jersey shore. I have traveled around the world and Carribean Islands many times and have now come to appreciate the natural beauty of Clearwater Beach, the laid back lifestyle that I enjoy with my congenial neighbors. When you come to visit we hope you enjoy this little island as much as we do.

Why Capt. Al or Gayle chose Clearwater Beach

Most Old Florida Beach Cottages were torn down in the Condo craze 10 years ago. Preservation of these Classic Beach Cottages helps keep Clearwater Beach have that Old Florida feel. There are just few cottages left in the north end of the beach and this is one of them. Well decorated with Tommy Bahama Furniture this cottage has a unique and fun feel to it with the low ceilings and funky rooms. Most Guests love this cottage as a great alternative to condos and motels.

What makes this cottage unique

This is the third house from the beach with no streets to cross. Just walk out the back door and you see the beach. Walk past two other homes and you are on the sand. Also has a small view of the beach. Nice neighborhood with other cottages and Angelo's Pizza. Pleasant area to talk a long walk and to the Residential Area.

Please do not expect the perfection of the Hilton Hotel or Sandpearl, expect a unique, fun, funky beach house. Most Guests love this house and the Cottages. We have 10 Beach cottages in this group with 4 Beach Apartments, all on the beach side of Mandalay Ave just 200-400 steps from the Beach. This Resort Licensed facility has very high standards and we manage many properties on Clearwater Beach. Please let us know how many guests so we can find the right cottage for you. This is a three bedroom house, and we have one and two bedroom cottages as well.

Free use of beach chairs and fishing poles, etc. There are 10 cottages in the group of cottages called clearwater cottages. one two and three bedroom. Please email us with you needs, we are sure to have a cottage for you. Shipwreck Bar, a well known tourist attraction is across the street and draws a lively crowd. Great entertainment , but if you want real quiet, I would suggest a cottage closer to the beach like the Dolphin cottage, about 100 steps.

Steps away from the beach!!!!

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter's 1st birthday and everyone had an amazing time! It was perfect! There was plenty of room for everyone. They offer lots of towels, beach chairs, and the best part is that the beach is just within walking distance, which was great with a 1yr old! The remodeled kitchen was great and well supplied with all of the basic necessities. The pizza place right next door was awesome and we had a great breakfast at Changs Bistro, which was just two blocks away. It was the perfect weekend getaway (and we live in Tampa!). When you walk inside, you automatically feel relaxed and are in beach mode! We're expecting our second child and are already thinking about celebrating there for her/his 1st birthday! Thanks for a great experience and all of the memories Capt. Al!!!!

Lemon Cottage was fantastic

We stayed a month in the Lemon Cottage (one bedroom) with our cat Max. We had a wonderful time. The cottage is old but well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had all the amenities as advertised. Anything we requested was immediately provided. We walked every morning on the beach. We had of choice of going north for 6 km into wild and almost deserted Caladesi Island Park or south towards Pier 60 to the more populated areas of Clear Water Beach. We had lots of delightful restaurants to choose from in the area (we did not have a car and walked almost everywhere or took the bus). When not walking on the beach (about 100 metres away) we used the beautiful backyard which had lots of chairs, umbrellas, trees and a Tiki Hut. We also liked the local bar across the street that the locals use called the Shipwreck (can be noisy on the weekends though it did not disturb us). All and all a wonderful place to stay and we would go back.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Romantic Getaway

This was the worst place I have ever stayed in. Location from beach was the only positive aspect here.
One of the rooms stank so bad nobody could sleep
in it & the bed in this room was wet!! Yuck! There was two families staying
and we were all bitten by something while staying here. The ceiling fans are
an accident waiting to happen. all in all this place needs a good fumegating!
Owner's Response: Dear International Traveler:
The prior guests child had a accident on the bed and left the doors open and mosquitos came in. I discovered this the next day. The room was not ready as the next Guest was to arrive the next day. You were sent over by another hotel that was full late saturday night, and we found cleaning person who did a quick cleaning. Your bill as adjusted down the next day for your inconvenience as it was not necessary to write a bad review. Our policies are on our sites that if something is not right to call the manager and housekeeping will come over.
Beautiful country, Scotland, as fine spirits as well.

Hide away cottage

We stayed at the hide away cottage. The location is great. It needs a good cleaning. If it was cleaner it would of been perfect. Needs to be spring cleaned BADLY

Thank you for staying at the Hideaway Cottage with great location. It is now spring, and time for a good spring cleaning. After spring break, there is a lot of extra cleaning to do, so the housekeepers are getting very busy this month. Hope when you return it is perfect.

great location, very nice, and best of all, allows pets.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

I am glad your pet had a great pet vacation. Also did you know that pets are allowed in most restuarants in Clearwater Beach. Clearwater Beach is becoming well know for being a pet friendly city.
