Whether you are seeking a serene place to read a book or an exciting hike in the woods, Horn's Ferry Hideaway is your place! We are located just steps from the 23 mile Volksweg Trail where you can bike, hike or walk; next door to Ivan's Campground, making us a perfect destination for large group gatherings and moments from Lake Red Rock, Iowa's largest man-made lake where you can boat, fish, or swim until your heart's content. Horn's Ferry Hideaway is also adjacent to the 32 acre Gladys Black Bald Eagle Refuge - making for outstanding bird watching.

For other excitement, check out the Sprint Car Capital of the World at Knoxville Raceway, or visit in early May for Pella's famous Tulip Time Festival. Historic Pella is a treat to visit any time of year with countless charming shops, dining options, and historic points of interest. Golfing is always a fun alternative!

Perfect little place!!!!

We stayed in the cabin/s for 2 nights and had an amazing time! We stayed in 1 cabin and my in-laws stayed in the other, worked out PERFECTLY!! Very cozy and clean cabins. The cabins had everything we needed, plus more! Very private and peaceful. Very spacious inside and out. Amazed that the TV's even had cable!! Great location too. We can't wait to go back... already!!! (You should maybe add another cabin or 2 since your dates fill up so quickly!?) :) :)

One thing that would have been nice or a suggestion I have for the owners, picnic tables outside by the fire pits would have been perfect! :)

Amazing cabin's and the owners were extremely professional and nice!!!

Just got back from our 2nd stay...this place it totally awesome. I don't know why anyone would stay in a hotel when you can stay here...it has everything. You see deer, eagles the scenery is the best...Thanks for letting us reconnect!
