Rent our chic villa in Villas de Palermo overlooking the bay of San Juan del Sur. Walk to restaurant, pool and bar at Terraza de Palermo. Free transportation to/from town and the beach on the hours during daylight hours.
We think our home is the best in the community. Why?
Planning to watch the big game? Our 40' flatscreen TV is the largest - and not all villas have flatscreen TV's with HDMI input! Bring your Chromecast and stream Netflix movies using your account from home or watch those important games.
Planning to sleep? Blackout curtains in the bedrooms help keep the sun outside - and the villa cool in the heat of the afternoon.
Planning to work? Our backup system keeps WIFI, fans and lights on when the National power grid is out.
Planning to soak in the views? Our gardens around the patio are well maintained and our view of the ocean is unobstructed by homes or service buildings.
And there’s more! We have screens on our sliding doors so you can enjoy the ocean breezes without running the A/C and both our bedrooms have ceiling fans. Our upholstery is new and our villa is spotless. Our villa is decorated with original art and antiques from the Nicaraguan colonial era.
Compare our villa to the rest! However, if our home is not available, we'll find you a similar home with another great view of the bay.
Daily rate includes tax and electricity; and includes up to four guests in two bedrooms. Extra charges may apply for weekly or monthly rates, larger parties or extra beds. Ask for a quote for your group.
Life in the slow lane: Poke around local beaches, surf the best breaks in the country, dine on catch-of-the-day under a palapa on the beach in town. Count monkeys, hummingbirds and butterflies in the tropical rain forest.
Wide, deserted sandy beaches: Prefer a private day at the beach? Visit wide sandy beaches north or south of San Juan del Sur and enjoy lunch under a canopy of native trees. Our concierge can direct you to the best picnics, the best surf breaks and the best places to hang your hammock in a tree.
Explore Nicaragua's History: Villas de Palermo overlooks the bustling beach town of San Juan del Sur on the southern pacific coast of Nicaragua. This 2-story, air-conditioned home overlooks the San Juan del Sur Bay, along with farmland and tropical rainforest, and include access to the clubhouse, pool, restaurant and bar - all with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy trail riding, hiking, and zip-line canopy tours all within the preserve. Ask our concierge for help exploring nearby historical cities and traditional markets in Granada and Masaya.
We enjoy our retirement spending about half time in San Juan del Sur and half time in Montana, just outside Glacier Park. My husband and I are actively involved in developing our community here in San Juan del Sur.
We love being close to town, but not so close that the all-night discos keep up awake. We wake up to monkeys in the trees and hummingbirds in the tropical gardens outside our door. The on-site restaurant is the best in town, and we can walk over for dinner every night!
San Juan del Sur is a fishing village where surfers and retirees enjoy the Pacific Ocean and lots of local color. We have the best surf breaks in the country, active volcanos to explore, zip-lines through jungle canopy and lots of palapa restaurants lining the wide sand beach of San Juan del Sur harbor. Visit Costa Rica and the colonial cities of Granada and Masaya. Lots of history, action and great food to enjoy.
Other Activities: zip-line canopy tour; sunset cruise; fishing for sailfish, marlin, dorado; snorkling; night fishing; turtle tour at night to see turtles laying eggs/hatching; whale watching; zip-line through the jungle canopy; surf lesson; surfing all-day; ATV tour of beaches and/or jungle; horseback riding on beach; cooking class with resort chef and translator; bartending course with resort bartender and translator; 3-course Nicaraguan-style BBQ dinner; ½ day tour of local markets, orchards and farms with translator; full day tour of Nicaraguan countryside and local craft markets in Masaya with translator
