In the deep winter month of February, we retreated to this spectacular Villa for 10 days
- upon arrival at ST Croix airport, Tom greeted us, making us feel like we were welcomed home.
The Landing Villa is a secluded retreat . once you arrive, you feel overwhelmed w the beauty, property and the View... the sweeping view of the Landing Beach, river and Ocean... mountain side.
- the home is very comfortable, immaculate, and welcoming. the bed is comfortable,bathrooms very clean, cooking is a not a chore w well stocked accoutrements . we never used the a/c, as the house is well ventilated and the cross breezes are exquisite!!
the house keeper is very nice and thorough!
Our favorite part of the stay was getting up in the am, sitting on the patio drinking coffee and taking in the view.
- an early morning swim, starts the day. retreating mid afternoon for a refresh, after a full day of out door activities near by, is a nice alternative.
evening under the stars on the patio, dining by candle light, and a night time swim were our rituals..
night time sleeping was so soothing.. the sounds of nature and the every early pre-dawn 3am pouring rains.
walk along Landing beach, we found lots and lots of large Conch shells. 2 of which we brought back and left outside the Villa wall..
take in the kayaking at the bottom of the mountain.
hit Cane beach its so close and has best snacks and beers. bring your snorkel gear!.
a trek to Buck island for snorkeling is well worth the wait, as is an ocean sail.
check out the moon rise at the east end of the island, drive thru the rugged terrain and rain forest from the west end.
( jeep highly recommended!)
on the weekends please make sure you visit the turtle beach on the south west corner of the island...
so much to say and share. you have to experience this place to create your own lasting memories. explore the island!!
this villa is centrally located for exploring all directions!
