Vacation Condo in Paradise at the Makaha Valley Plantation

This condo worked well for the five adults that on our trip. We cooked most of our meals and found the condo to have almost everything we needed. Could have only used a regular sized frying pan and a garlic press. We enjoyed the use of the pool and the tennis courts. The beach at the end of Kili drive was perfect. Somedays the surf was up and there were fun waves to play in (would not have been ideal for very young children) and one day while swimming I saw a turtle. This condo is fairly far from most touristy things so expect to drive at least 35mins to get to anything. There is a grocery store called Tamura fairly close by that has most things. Overall this condo was great, the hosts were easy to contact and it was simple to get in when we arrived.

This is our second time staying at the Plantation, and the first time staying in Mathew & Kim's Unit. From our first inquiries almost 8 months ago until our departure, our hosts were accommodating in every respect and displayed top notch customer service. Communication is immediate and attentive to your needs. Thank you for allowing us a later departure time :)

From the moment of opening their doors, you knew you were at home, very welcoming and any amentity you could think of was there. Including little details of having maps, brochures, restuarant menus, and factual information on Hawaii - great booklet. Never tired of the many peacocks, one morning they were actually on the lanai. So many picture opportunities around the complex. We enjoyed giving Halloween treats to all the little keiki. Only went to the one pool, very close proximity to the unit, but it always afforded your time of relaxing. Lounge chairs were kind of speratic, sometimes there were 4 available and sometimes 1. Not sure where they would go. All our dealings with any of the staff at the complex was with a smile and an "aloha - have a nice day" Enjoyed the BBQ area several times, it was a nice way to end your day.

Toured the island almost every day, there was probably not one place we did not go to. North Shore is one of our favorite spots. Going to the Aloha stadium for the swap meet was an interesting way to see and purchase a lot of different items. It is huge, and pretty good for negotiating. We also enjoyed the farmer's market at the Kapiolani College - Saturdays - lots of different local culinary treats. Of course the usual tourist places, Germaine's Luau, Polynesian Cultural center, Hanama Bay, Sharks Cove, Turtle bay it is all so beautiful. At least 2 - 3 times a week we had the opportunity to try our luck at fishing - which was more like wishing. A wonderful month's stay - would recommend Mathew and Kim's unit, and next time we go to Oahu, we will be in contact with you. Mahalo Kim & Bill, Suzie & Terry

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful Condo. We enjoyed the beautiful scene, the comfortable bed, and the spacious living room. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms well kept with beautiful Hawaiian print beddings.

I was telling my husband that this home would be perfect for us.Although we were only able to take a dive in the swimming pool and relax in the jacuzzi for only about an hour and a half due to us both working we certainly enjoyed our stay here at your condo.But Im glad to say that it was a nice and relaxing stay here at your condo.

This condo has it all, LOTS of towels, which was a big plus for me, coolers, umbrellas, body boards, WIFI etc. Also its the bottom floor so there is not too much stairs to climb. I cant thank you both enough Matthew and Kim for letting me and my husband stay at your condo to relax and have some alone time.

We both really appreciate it. Your fast communication with my mother in-law, father in-law and husband who put this all together with out me even knowing, until the night of our wedding was a success.The last minute extension on our stay was quick, and easy.Lastly I want to thank you guys for the gift that was left in the ice box. It was delicious.Thank you again
