Sailboating/Beach / Fishing /Biking / Bowling:
On Ft. Myers Beach, you can take a ride on a beautiful sailboat on the ocean for a wonderful sunset cruise that is breathtaking. You will never forget it !!
There are the most common beaches close by our townhouse. Fort Myers Beach is about 10 minutes away. Sanibel and Captiva Island beaches are about 15 mins away. You can also wind surf on the causeway going over the bridge what a great place to catch the cross wind. You can also go boating, rental for bikes are on Sanibel and you can ride on the walkway around the whole island. Also check out the island stores outside. They are so unique.
You can also do some deep sea fishing, these places are about 10 mins away before you go to Ft. Myers Beach. There are great places to eat before you hit the beach too.
There is a bowling close by and Game Golf. Close to the townhouse, if your a football fan, there is a pub that has over 100 fans, pool tables, darts etc.
You'll always find something to do here in Ft. Myers.
Shopping / Movies / Main Road 41/ Religion:
There are plenty of places to go shopping ( I do just mean food ) You can go to the Bell Tower Mall. Which has outdoor shopping, several restaurants and a movie theatre with 12 or more movies showing. When you go onto the main road 41 which is about 15 mins away, you will see all the big name restaurants to eat at and all the big name department stores small specialty outlet shops that are wonderful just to even look at even if you don't want to purchase anything
Just drive up 41 north and you'll see there is so much to choose from. From this location by Bell Tower you are about 15 mins to the Gulf Coast International Airport. Which is a great asset.
There are also a variety of religions here as well.
Food Shopping / Blockbuster / Hospitals / Gym:
You are just about 5 mins away to our main food shopping store (publix). They even have a few stores next to publix. Like Blockbuster, Chinese food, Nail place, dentist, jewelery store and more. There is even a Walgreens pharmacy open 24 hours just around the corner.
You can also sign up to work out if that is your thing at Planet Fitness. There is no long term contract, and the cost is about 20.00 per month. But I am sure they can work out something weekly if that is all your staying. But next time I am sure you will want to stay longer.
The hospital is about 13 mins away and is called Healthpark Hospital. Just recently had to add another 4 floors onto the hospital because the demand was so high from people who needed care. It is so wonderful, they have top notch doctors, great nursing staff and treat you with dignity.
There is also three other hospitals within 20 minutes Gulf Coast, Lee Memorial, and Southwest Regional.
Ski:
Unfortunately it does not get cold enough here in Florida to go skiing.
Golf:
There are a plethora of golf courses in this area of Fort Myers. Some public and some private that you are able to use. There are also some of the top name people in the business to help with your golf swing too. Not too sure of the fee or starting times. But if you are a serious golfer, and don't might driving about 30 minutes South of Ft. Myers, you can find some challenging courses in Napes and Bonita Springs.
Also before you hit Fort Myers Beach, there is putt putt golf very close by and even from these places you can see a wonderful sunset. Just about anyplace you are, the skies here in Ft. Myers are always so beautiful, the nights are nice, warm still but with a cool breeze.
