You can lounge on the large back deck and enjoy the feel of total peace and relaxation enjoying the treats of nature, friendly wildlife and beautiful sky’s that come right to you.

Perfect Place

My husband and I work hard and when we do find the time to get away I do a lot of research for that perfect place. All I can say is KUDOS to David and Mary! This home is beautiful! Every need or want has been thought of in advance to make ones stay comfortable and relaxing. The snow was amazing to watch through the homes wall of windows in the living room as we curled up on the very large couch and drank hot totties. We had a visit from a bull elk and 3 of his females plus a large arrangement of birds from red crested woodpeckers to blue birds and blue jays. It is a photographers dream! We are looking forward to returning to this place in the summer and knowing we will not be disappointed! Thanks again David and Mary for opening your home to us and others!

Home away from home

I would give this cabin a 6 star if I could. We went for the second time and we had a blast again, this time a lot of snow, a White Christmas. I cannot describe the warm feeling you get as soon as you enter the door, the interior decorations are just breathless, such a welcoming atmosphere. Everything you need and more you can find here, all you need to bring is just the food . I really can't think of something that I forgot to take with us on the few days trip away from home, that David and Mary did not have in the cabin. Well, well stocked with everything you need. Cannot wait to go back, now we wanna experience it in the summer, after all the notes left by people that stayed in the summer, I'm sure we will have a great time again. Thank you David and Mary for sharing your wonderfull cabin with us, there's nowhere else I would go for a retreat vacation now, that I've been living at your cabin . Indeed , a home away from home

We had such a great time at Elk in the Pines retreat! The home was well stocked above & beyond our expectations and the caqbin's decor was soo warm & festive for the holidays! Wow.. Wow.. Wow..
What a beautiful cabin.
One of the best stays ever! We really liked that the National Forrest is at your back door and hanging out on the deck. There were all the amenities you could want and very clean. Highly recommend this cabin. Guys this is a good get away for that special Lady in your life!!

Lucky Ducks

Your mountain home was beautiful and we were lucky to find it available on short notice. It was closest to Blue Ridge Reservoir and within an hour of Lake Mary....because of current road construction on Lake Mary Road to Flagstaff...for fishing. My brothers and nephew were also within a half-hour of their favorite hunting spot and a nice drive for all of us to see the changing leaves of the Aspens near Pine Mountain. On that drive we spotted a large number of Buck Deer (8 or 10 depending who was doing the counting) crossing the road and back into the thick of trees. We spotted two more fawns leaping away a little later on the drive. It wasn't camping and the kids already heard the favorite scary red-eyes story so your patio provided the stage for the ghost in the woods. We heard Elk buggling one evening, also. Don't worry all the kids slept through the night once they realized it was their dad. You thought of everything. Thanks for the memories.
