My husband and I have been renting homes on the beach for our vacation for years. This home, by far, surpassed any home we have stayed in. It was beautiful, clean, very comfortable and the owners were accommodating to our every need. We recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a luxurious stay on the beach. We are already planning a trip back.

Beautiful Oceanfront home

This home and the owners are amazing. Everything you could want to live comfortably is furnished. The house is spacious, well designed and beaufifully decorated. Darlene, the owner, greeted us warmly and helped make our stay very comfortable. The house, right on the beach, is in great condition and has all the water toys you could want. Our four weeks went by too quickly. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. This is a great vacation site for exploring NE Florida. We would eagerly come back. Thanks Darlene for sharing this wonderful house with us.

Lovely home, exquisite location

We were fortunate to spend a lovely week at Casa Vedra. The home is very well equipped and very comfortable. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is far better provisioned than any other home we have rented. The restaurants in the area are also worth exploring. The views of the ocean are unbelievable-we could lie in bed and watch the stars over the ocean as we went to sleep and then the sun rise as we woke. The separate suite downstairs was perfect for our teenage son. The beach is filled with shells and extremely quiet. The neighbourhood is a rare stretch of the Atlantic that is not filled with high-rise condos and hotels. Darlene and Chris met us at the home and saw that we were settled. Everything was well organized. Very enjoyable.

Cant wait to come back .

We arrived at 2am after taking a "shortcut" could hear the ocean but could not sea it,unpacked went to bed tired and not very happy. Woke up around 9 and BAM two hugh picture windows full of water. 0 to mesmerized in 2.1 secs had to wake the family right away,they didnt mind. The house was spectacular,could not ask for better has everything a person could want . We want thank the owners they went over and above to work with our schedule. Will be back when work allows. The Powers Family.

Sanctuary from the Storm

We are two New Yorkers who had the extreme good fortune of spending a week at Casa Vedra while Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc in our home state. We selfishly enjoyed perfect weather and every minute of the vacation in spite of the distraction. What’s not to love! The house is perfectly located on a quiet, private beach across the road from the extensive Guana River Reserve. All of the comforts of home are there. Darlene and Chris are so accommodating and have anticipated anything and everything that you might need to enjoy your holiday. The home is immaculate, well decorated and offers the best of in-home entertainment options if you don’t want to venture out.

But by all means venture out to enjoy the sightseeing, golf and beach activities in the area. We golfed every day using Golf.now as a great source for last minute, discount tee times 30 minutes or less from home. Serious golfers will not want to miss the opportunity to play at the world famous, very elegant TPC Sawgrass, truly a world class experience.

Dining options are abundant. We enjoyed local waterfront dining at Cap’s, Aunt Kate’s and the Kingfish Grill. For an upscale dining experience you’ll want to make a reservation at Restaurant Medure, where the ambience, service, food and wine are all outstanding. Be sure to check for the Monday night wine promotion. If you visit St. Augustine we recommend you visit Bistro de Leon for unique, European style dining.
