The Island of Curacao has many wonders to enjoy. Take in the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen, snorkel before breakfast, dive right from our beach, teach your children to swim or eat at one of the two restaurants located at Playa Lagun. All of these are at your fingertips from Lagoon Ocean Resort. The waters are calm and the sea life is abundant. The climate is warm, yet our trade winds keep you comfortable. Curacao is located outside the hurricane belt next to Aruba in the Caribbean where it never rains for very long.
This condo sits approximately 20 feet above sea level and is located less than 15 feet from the waters edge. The view is nothing less than spectacular. Recently installed granite countertop in kitchen and enlarged bedroom make this unit unique within the resort. Leave the windows open and enjoy the sounds of the sea. Lounge in the pool just outside your back door or walk down the steps to Playa Lagun. A dive shop is located next to our property. Christoffel National Park and Shete Boca are about 15 minutes away.
You are sure to run out of time before running out of things to do and see. We have a full time Resident Manager on site to attend to your needs and ensure a carefree stay.
The views from this unit are fabulous.
View...View...View and proximity to beach with great diving and snorkeling. Two restaurants available at Playa Lagun.
Spent 2 weeks at Playa Lagun. The condo and resort were excellent. We spent the entire time relaxing in the pool, and snorkeling at the different beach sites. Definitely import to rent a car. Can't wait to visit again!
Loved being in Scott's waterfront house overlooking Playa Lagun. We would relax every night on the upstairs balcony, and enjoy the breeze, and watch the stars. View was out of this world.
We had an amazing time at the Playa Lagun condo and resort. All amenities, pool, bar, restaurant, snorkel gear $7/day, bring your own gear if you have it. The roads are adventurous and a lot of fun! Def. rent a car for the week so you can get around the whole island- 38 miles long. The locals are very kind and helpful, as well as the food is amazing and very fresh! Fresh fish brought to the shore via Lagun around lunch time every day! Help them bring their boats in to the sand, and get ready for snorkeling! We saw three sea turtles, thousands of beautiful fish, and so much more. Go see Capt. GoodLife in San Juan- 2 miles down the road, and get to know the guider-currency exchange. So far, the most beautiful place we have seen on Earth! Go Go Go..... :)

P.S.- We are in plans to book our next trip already!
Loved Scott's waterfront house overlooking playa lagun!!! My boyfriend and I stayed for a week and we will definitely go back! The house was basic but included everything you needed for a wonderful trip! Stock up on groceries we preferred cooking to eating at the restaurant next door. Rent a car because you will want to visit as many beaches as you can because they are all beautiful and very different! The best time to snorkel the lagun is in the morning and most likely you will be the only people out it is so wonderful and the lagun is full of wildlife! Originally we looked at staying in the city but after walking around the city we are SO HAPPY we chose to stay on the lagun! Thanks again Scott!!
We stayed 10 days in this lovely townhouse on the cliffs above Playa Lagun. We found it to be an ideal location. The back porch of the condo faces south and overlooks the gorgeous cove. You have a perfect view of the sunrise over the mountains in the morning and the sunset over the ocean in the evenings. Playa Lagun offers the BEST snorkeling we experienced on the island. The cove is long and narrow with an abundance of sea life on both sides. We saw colorful fish of every shape/size/color, eels, octopus, sea horse, and of course our daily visit from the sea turtles. The turtle's nest on the beach hatched during our visit and we were lucky to see the tiny turtles make their way out to sea....a once in a lifetime opportunity! We brought our own snorkeling gear and an underwater camera and are so happy we did. We snorkeled several beaches on the west side and enjoyed them all. The condo was outfitted with everything we needed. There was a coffee maker, blender, and a toaster oven too. We did bring some ziploc bags which came in handy for food storage. The Centrum grocery store had everything we needed and lots of nice choices of meats, cheeses, sandwich stuff, fabulous bakery and beer/wine. We ate breakfast and lunch at the condo every day. We even bought some fish from the fisherman down on the beach and it was great! Bahia and Discover Diving at just a few steps away from the condo and serve lovely dinners and drinks. Bahia has a buffet of local food on Thursdays at 7:00 and Discover Diving has a buffet from 6:30-8:00 on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Both were very good. Westpunt offers a few dining choices as well (Sol Food is a must!) and if you want to drive a little further (30-40 minutes) Willemstad is full of dining choices. The condo does have a TV with built in DVD so we brought some DVDs of TV series with us but only watched a couple of nights and didn't miss it. (We're big TV watchers at home!) I'm happy to report that the wifi at the condo worked great! We used the Viber app on our phones to talk to family at home for free. We rented a car from D&D and it was the easiest rental experience ever. We had a clean, new Ford Focus sedan which came with a free local cell phone for $38/day including insurance. Just as an FYI....it's very hot in Curacao. The wind on the back porch and frequent dips kept us cool. There's no need to pack anything with sleeves or pants legs. Shorts, short sleeves and sun dresses are enough. Ladies....bring your bikini. Every w
We really enjoyed our 2 week vacation here. The condo has all the ammenities we needed. The patio is a wonderful place to sit at all times of the day. It is always pleasantly shaded so that you are out of the intense sun. We have stayed in other places in Curacao where you could not sit on the deck or patio in the afternoon until the sun went down. The view of the ocean and the lagoon is amazing.
The owner is very prompt with all communications and very helpful.
Thank you Scott. we look forward to returning for another vacation
The condo is as advertised. The view is spectacular. We stayed for a week in April and would definetly go back. If you want peace and quiet, with the ocean at your doorstep, this is the place for you. The snorkling here was the best we found on the island. Diving here was also top notch and a close second to Play Kalki and Porto Marie. You are definetly isolated on this end of the island, which was the reason we loved it, so don't expect a bar scene. You cannot beat the close proximity to the beaches. I loved being able to wake up in the morning, strap on the dive gear and go for a dive before breakfast without having to drive any where. The condo itself has just about anything you need. It is your typical rental condo type of items but does meet your needs. It would be nice if they provided a clothes drying rack though or had someplace to hang wet swimsuits and towels. The restaurant selection is very much lacking in this area of the island so make sure you stop at the grocery store on your way. Centrum is what I would call your typical chain grocery store with a good selection. The market in Barber is much closer to the condo but has less selection. Although it was still an interesting place to visit. If you do go out to eat and want to stay on this end of the island, make sure you go to Sol Food. The food was awesome, the view was great, and Sunshine and her staff were excellent. By far the best place we ate while on the island. We did a short trip to Shete Boka national park and it was worth the drive to see the other side of the island. If you like diving, or just relaxing on the beach, this is the place for you. We definetly plan on going back and are already counting down the days.
