WaterColor is located along scenic Highway 30-A along Florida’s north Gulf coast. There are several unique features to Watercolor, including Western Lake, a rare, 220-acre coastal dune lake that is bordered by coastal pine forests. There are three restaurants located on the lake, as well as canoe and kayak rentals and sailing excursions, a boathouse, and a large outdoor amphitheater for concerts and festivals. Cerulean Park links the lake to the Gulf, and is one of Watercolor’s central gathering places. An extensive woodland trail system for hiking and biking meanders through the community of Watercolor, and nearby state parks offer different perspectives of the coastal dune lakes, sand pine scrub, longleaf pine flatwoods, cypress ponds and wetlands. The Town Center in Watercolor has a collection of retail shops and markets. The neighboring towns of the “Beaches of South Walton,” hold special events throughout the year, such as jazz concerts, beach parties and art shows.
