3BR Oceanview Vacation Rental Nassau, Bahamas

The apartment iselegant, light and airy with incredible views of marina, pools and ocean. There are 3 relaxing bedrooms, each with en-suite and own balcony. Two have sunrise views, one has sunset. There is a spacious living-dining room with full open-plan kitchen and balcony. The home has central air-conditioning. Owned by an English family, the home is decorated largely with light wood English furniture and pastel fabrics and wall colours, to make the most of the light and space and reflect the exteriors of nearby colonial style properties. We're looking for non-smoking guests of 25 years and over, to cherish our vacation home as we do.

The home is located in a quiet 24-hour gated community, the design of which was based on Port Grimaud in the South of France. Facilities include a marina, 2 beaches , huge pool with water slides, three restaurants, pub, tennis, gym and lovely walks around the resort (admire the yachts).

Our property is in the marina resort of Sandyport, on the North West coast of Nassau. We have two ocean beaches, a lagoon beach and plenty of lovely places to walk, to see the colonial style homes and the marina waterways. The resort is convenient for a number of excellent restaurants and some small shops, and has its own gym, Church and medical centre. There are swimming pools and tennis and basketball courts on site.

The resort is on a main bus route, so getting downtown is easy, for shopping, casinos or tours.

Notes: We have a lift in our building, which goes to the floor beneath ours, then one flight of stairs (about 19 steps) up to our door. The stairs have a handrail at each side and are shared between our apartment and one other only. By the pool there is a volleyball net and a ping pong table, also a beach bar for breakfast and drinks during the day. There is a tennis and basketball court.A barbeque takes place on the beach each Tuesday. Our Manager can advise on excursions.

It is also very convenient for local buses to go downtown. The apartment was completed in the summer of 2005, and has a TV/DVD (plus TVs in each bedroom), washer/dryer, CD player, phone, plenty of linens and towels and hairdryer. Other amenities include a coffee machine, health grill, toaster, blender, iron and board, full size fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, and a dishwasher. We have a travel cot in the apartment. In the Spring of 2008 we installed wireless internet access.

There are fantastic resort facilities, plus the property is very convenient for trips downtown, to casinos, or sight-seeing. It is 6 minutes' walk from a grocery store. From Sandyport's ocean beach you can see across to Atlantis.

Visit Nassau to explore the history and the culture of these islands, or just discover a little piece of heaven on earth, with its fantastic beaches, wildlife, nightlife, shopping, restaurants and casinos. We first came to Nassau 14 years ago and now it's our dearly-loved second home. Try it, and you'll come back for more.

What everyone else said in the other reviews are totally true.... this place is
amazing.
Unlike the rest, I normally head to Bahamas for work, which normally takes up to
1 month per trip... and I do have to say that after a tiring day, my colleagues
and I feel excited with the thought of heading back 'home' to get some R&R.... I don't know how I can emphasize the word 'home'... eventhough its for rent, Kate managed to decorate the apartment with a very warm welcoming touch.

The price for rent is extremely reasonable given that the house is FULLY
FURNISHED! kitchen utensils are totaly complete, even with all the little stuff like wrap bags, baking pans,coffee maker, placemats, etc... You don't have to worry about towels, cause there are PLENTY (as in >15pcs)... all 3 bedrooms have their own TV (there's also one in the living room)... The best place to
watch the sunset is from thier balcony which overlooks the lagoon (gives you a
'happy ever after' feel)...

Sarah, the apartment manager was extremely sweet.. She'll go all out to assist
us in any problems or enquiries.... She even helped us get a local Sim Card when we needed one....

and for people who need to go online... never fear... THERE's WIFI! and the
speed is great, so you don't have to worry about any lagging...

Another great thing about it is that the apartment is in the same area as the
gas station, so, if you are renting a car, you wont need to worry about running out of gas...

The apartment is only about 15 minutes to the airport. It's close only 5-8
minutes to Arawak Cay (where all the famous seafood restaurants are), and only 25mins (minus traffic) from town. You've got a lagoon at the back yard and 'SandyPOrt' beach across the street...

I could go on raving about this place but I dont think I have that much space
left. Anyways, I've been there once in 2010, wanted to rent the place again early this year but it was fully booked, and rented it back in Nov '11. I'd definitely book it again for my trip next year, no doubts about it.

This apartment was perfect for our family of five (with young kids) and really felt like our home away from home. It was spacious, fully furnished and equipped, and we feel we got full value for money. I won't repeat all the good things other people are saying - but can testify they are all true. All the best.

Wonderful Holiday Home

We just returned from a wonderful holiday in Nassau. This is a terrific apartment, with everything you need for a great vacation. Eating out is expensive, so being able to return home each evening and have everything we needed to cook and enjoy dinner was a great help. The apartment is modern and large - even more than we needed as a family of four - and well maintained, with a wonderful sunset view from the living room balcony.
The location is excellent, with only a short walk to beach, pool and Jitney line (local bus). You don't need a car, although we did take one for a few days when we explored some more of the Island.
The owners are great to deal with and the property manager provdes a super welcome on your arrival. When we did eat out we found the food at the local restaurants to be excellent.
Nassau itself is terrific. Very relaxing, with more than enough to do if you want to be busy. Atlantis is well worth the visit, particularly if you have children.
Nothing negative to report. This is a property I have no hesitation in recommending if you plan to visit the Island.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Quite home away from home

We just returned from a week at this lovely apartment. We are a family of four (two children, 8 and 4) as well as a grandmother. We all had plenty of space (and our own bathrooms!), and enjoyed the kitchen in the mornings for breakfast. The kids loved playing in resort's pools as well as hunting for shells on the near-by beach. We were busy all week with adventures in downtown Nassau, Paradise Island, and a day of dolphin encounters at Blue Lagoon Island. This quiet apartment was heaven to come home to at the end of the day. We did not need a car - the Number 10 bus was easy to catch, and we enjoyed meeting the locals and other tourists as well. Sarah was waiting for us when we arrived our first day, and gave us a little orientation, as well as lots of helpful information.

Overall, it was a great week!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

FUN GIRLS TIME

We loved this condo. It was very well maintained and had everything we needed. Sandyport location is great and we had no problems catching the bus. Kate the owner was very nice to work with and Sarah the property manager...WE LOVED HER!!!
Also the rates for this accomodation, you can not beat. Don't waste your time with a hotel, the condo is so much better.
Can't wait to see you guys again. Thanks again for everything.
