Join us for a unique experience in our cottage. Renovated in 2008 with beautiful new fixtures and modern amenities allowing the original vintage character and charm to shine through. Beit Nur (House of Light) features 3 bedrooms 1 bath upstairs. Fully remodeled basement, with second kitchen, living/bedroom and 1 bathroom. Spacious eat in kitchen and cozy living room. Each bedroom boasts luxurious beds and bedrooms tastefully decorated to reflect our family's extensive travels abroad. Each room reveals one of a kind treasures, and pictures that showcase distinctive stories, and our love for a multitude of cultures.

Located in a great location, you are just 3-4 blocks from downtown Wineries and Wine Bars. Walk to 16 wineries through Whitman College Campus. Through our backyard you will find a picturesque park for family outings, walking the dogs, or playing a game of tennis. Out front is a fenced playground area.

Notes: Remodeled 1935 cottage with private fenced back yard. Our home backs up to the beautiful Menlo park where you can play tennis or just walk under the trees and enjoy the peace. Also, the kids will enjoy the play equipment at Menlo Park. The house is situated on a quiet, private street. The kitchen is distinguished enough for a seasoned chef and fully equipped. Relax and enjoy the comfortable beds, backyard sunsets or walk through the historic neighborhood that is host to an array of beautiful homes. Easy Week in Walla Walla

This was our second stay at this property and we were glad to be back. Our family of four (parents and two teenage daughters) was very comfortable and enjoyed the privacy and quiet of the location. We took many walks around the neighborhood and were delighted to be so close to Walla Walla and Whitman where our daughter is a freshman. We had a small blip with a smoke detector but that was remedied quickly after we called the owner. It is really nice to deal directly with the owner as opposed to the rental service we have had for other Walla Walla rentals. We'll be back!

Ladies weekend

What a perfect cottage for 4 women. We each had a bedroom and comfortable bed. The house is darling--the photos don't do it justice. But be warned. If you're in the master bedroom, there's a large skylight and you won't be sleeping in if you're light-sensitive. Fortunately I wasn't in that room! :)

Sweet well-located home

The location of this charmer was key! Our kids had a grand time in the playground across the street while we cooked dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. Everything was updated and immaculate with tasteful decor and plenty of space. The owner was friendly flexible and available.
We were a group traveling (3 moms, 7 young kids) through the area for one night.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Could have been worse...

The house was well furnished and appointed. My issues are as follows:
1. Good luck finding the key box.
2. When I entered the house at 7:30 pm, it was a balmy 78 degrees indoors.
3. Ordered Chinese with the plans to enjoy it on the porch while my dogs and I cooled off--sprinklers started going off at 9 pm. Wet dogs and wet human.
4. Tried to take a quick snooze on the couch the next morning before I hit the road, an alarm in the nearest bedroom started BLARING!

I don't think this was the first time a paying guest stayed in the house, but it sure felt like it.

On the plus side, the master bed was very comfortable.

Owner's Response: Beit Nur apologizes for any inconveniences.

The front door light is a sensor light that comes on when there is motion at the front door. I’ll have the cleaning lady check this after each cleaning, to ensure that the light bulb has not gone out.

The thermostat is an easy push button up and down arrows to regulate the temperature in the house. We leave that up to each guest, I’ll make sure that there are better instructions next to the thermostat.

Beit Nur has a covered porch area then an attached deck. The sprinklers water only the grass areas. During the summer months we have the sprinklers come on twice during the night due the high heats, so that our guest’s days are not interrupted.

I’ll ask the housecleaner to make sure that all radio clock alarms are set to the off switch.

We appreciate all your comments, and will make adjustments where appropriate. We hope that the remainder of your trip was pleasant. Thank you for staying at our home.

They make it feel like Home - Put the key in the front door - Relax and Enjoy!

The Cottage has a great location, quiet neighborhood, steps to Whitman, and a stroll to downtown. The public areas are great if your group fills the house, our family size is 4 - so our college kids didn't share a room. Great layout, great back yard for BBQ. While you could easily enjoy the kitchen, the owner's recommendation for coffee/pastry and local restaurants was spot on. Ok, Colville Street Patisserie, the IceBerg for the best local hamburger and shakes, and the Green Spoon for a great range for everyone. We just kept enjoying Walla Walla. Sunday/Monday lots of places are closed, so we missed the Sweet Onion Sausage on Main. The hospitality from the owner made us feel welcome and we appreciated those efforts. Great beds! I love the dining room chandelier too.
