Nearby activities include John Pennycamp State Park, Key Largo. Snorkeling and Scuba diving at nearby reefs. Theater of the Sea, Islamorada. Tavernier Town Cinema. Near shopping and hospital - extremely convenient location. Private, yet near all ammenities / attractions.
Bring your IPOD!:
We have a Griffin Evolve “iPod with wireless speakers” system installed at the house -
http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/evolve. So bring your
iPod. These speakers are battery powered and are sitting on a
charging stand. So, you can bring them out to the deck to have music out there. (Please be mindful of the neighbors and don’t play
the music too loud.) You will need to put the speakers back on the
charging tray after a few hours. There is remote control for the
system that should work from the porch but it needs to be “line of
sight” with the unit. (This unit also charges your iPod and it should
work with an iPhone as well – but maybe note the 3G iPhones.)
Kayaks: There are two kayaks located under the house for your use. You will find the
key for the lock on a separate keychain by the front door. Oars will be located in the
guest room closet as well as life jackets. When you are finished with the kayaks, please
give them a fresh water rinse. Same with the life jackets and oars. Upon your departure,
please return the kayaks to their place under the house and lock them. Leave the oars and
life jackets downstairs to dry and the property manager will return them to their inside
places. During your stay you can hook the kayaks to the float in front of the house. Do
not leave the oars or life jackets on the kayak. Please note that should the kayaks be left
in the water during your stay and disappear, that you will have to replace them.
