Restored 1940s Cabin 30 Mile Views

Spent a few days up at the cabin- not a single complaint from 4 men stretching out for a few. Great view of the sunrise to the east. Place had a nice feel and anything you could hope for in terms of a comfortable stay. Owner was enthusiastic about using the kitchen and grounds and had some great ideas for places to go hiking and eating in the area. Beware of the fire place as it tends to smoke a bit- but looks rustic as does the rest of the cabin- nice feel. Do not hesitate to rent this place and I will absolutely return when I am able.

Every summer, I go up to the Berkshires to experience it for itself, but also for Tanglewood, Shakespeare, and whatever is playing at the Barrington Stage Co.In the past I used to stay at an inn or hotel, but last summer I decided to try out this place I saw on VRBO. I'm hesitant at first whenever I rent a property anywhere, as the internet site pictures usually do it more justice than it deserves. HOWEVER, this place is different. This cabin is clean, well-located (not far from the atractions I mentioned, and some good restaurants as well), and has the most stunning view from its porch that you will likely ever see. My only hesitation in writing this review is that it could make the place less available when I want to rent it. It deserves every word of praise. The owner is also very friendly, and that means a lot. This is a place I most definitely want to return to many times.

My husband,our two golden retrievers and I spent 3 days in January at this lovely cabin. The location is fantastic with easy access to wonderful hiking. We hiked to the top of Alander Mountain and did the Jugend Loop, both of which we highly recommend. The kitchen is very well equipped, obviously belonging to someone who loves to cook. The beds are comfortable. The views from the cabin are beautiful. We hope to stay again.
