Modern and contemporary three bedroom apartment, that can accommodate up to six people, in the nine streets area in the Jordaan in Amsterdam.
The first thing you notice about this apartment is the contrast between the brightly toned walls and the earthy colours of the floor
and the furniture, giving it a very warm and cosy feel. The living room is a good example, with a living area and an open plan kitchen lending to the ambience. There is a large double sofa, a flat screen TV and DVD player for your entertainment and a charming dining table and chairs. The kitchen is bright and modern and fully equipped and built-in, and of course contains everything you need to prepare that culinary delight, including an oven, hob, a microwave, a grill, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a toaster and a coffee machine. There are three bedrooms with three double beds and all have plenty of space for your travel accessories. The two bathrooms are modern and chic with black and white tiles and designer washbasins and showers. The apartment has a hi-speed Internet connection, a washing machine, a dryer, an iron & board and with central heating, you can enjoy this apartment all year round. Even with a narrow staircase that can be sometimes awkward for large luggage, this is still the perfect place for you to stay while sampling the delights of Amsterdam.
This apartment is located on floor 3.
The apartment is situated in a small side street of the beautiful Herengracht Canal, one of the most picturesque canals in the city in the World Heritage Protected Amsterdam Central Canal Belt. In the heart of the “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques, and the trendy Jordaan district, with its eclectic collection of boutiques, cafés and restaurants, the apartment is a perfect base from which to explore the city (and its nightlife).
The Palace on Dam Square, the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street and the calm of the Vondel park are all only a short walk away. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a Saturday morning, or walk round the corner to the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. Just a ten minute walk away is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks.Something for every taste!
For those of you who want to venture a little further afield, hop on one of the many trams to take you across Amsterdam. The main train station, Central Station is also just a stone’s throw away.
