Manuel Antonio is located in the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio Park is the main attraction that draws hundreds of people to this area from all over the world. Outdoor and nature enthusiasts will love the trails that twist through the park, past mangroves, balsa trees, wild plantains, and the Manzanillo tree that bears a poison fruit. Birding enthusiasts will want to see the more than 260 species of birds that reside here, including the colorful Toucan. The park is also home to many monkeys, including the white-faced Capuchin and Squirrel monkeys, both of which are endangered species. You can also hear the Howler Monkeys as you walk through the beautiful trails back to the gorgeous beaches that the Park has to offer. Quepos, the nearby town, offers Anglers incredible sport fishing. Fishing charters leave daily in search of Marlin, sailfish, tuna, dorado, roosterfish, and snook. Excellent fishing can be had year-round in the mild waters.
