1.5 MI TO ESTES & 1.5 MI TO RMNP ENTRANCE

Estes Park Chalet Rental Photos and Description

Chalet, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)

Why stay in the same old cabin or condo when you can stay in our beautiful, clean and unique A-Frame.

The location of this home is perfect for your Estes vacation. It is located in a very quiet collection of a few cabins just a few minutes hike into Rocky Mountain National Park or the the YMCA property and a 1.5 mile drive to Downtown or the Beaver Meadows entrance into RMNP . You can also walk to the very popular Dunraven Italian Restaurant (the one off Hwy 66).

You will have a marvelous Rocky Mountain vacation in this clean, quiet, fully appointed vacation home. We have two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony where you can hear the Big Thompson River through the trees. The second bedroom has a full size bed. Downstairs is tastefully decorated with newer furniture with a pull-out queen and pull-out twin bed. Downstairs is great for kids to sleep in while the grown-ups sleep quietly upstairs.

We have a brand new remodeled full kitchen w/ gas stove, dishwasher and microwave. We also have a newer full sized washer and dryer too.

You can relax and read a book by the wood-burning stove, watch DVD's on the TV (we have a large selection of DVD's stocked), play classic Atari video games or sit on the front or back porches and watch the elk, deer, bears, foxes, coyotes, wild turkeys, rabbits, hummingbirds etc. that are frequently seen on the property.

If you want to hike, this is the location for you. You can hike into Rocky Mountain National Park along the picturesque boulder strewn Big Thompson River and be in the Moraine Park area (prime fishing and elk viewing area) in about 15 minutes. You can also hike along Glacier Creek for more fishing and beautiful trails. The YMCA has numerous trails where walking and mountain biking are allowed. We are close to quite a few restaurants, shopping, horseback riding, fishing, miniature golf and all that Estes has to offer on Highway 66 (Tunnel Rd) into downtown Estes.

About Andrea or Stephen

Sales person extraordinaire. Mother. Skier. Hiker. Dog lover.

Andrea or Stephen purchased this chalet in 2007

Why Andrea or Stephen chose Estes Park

We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it. We have always loved Estes Park, and wanted our own little piece of it to enjoy. We love being able to easily hike into the park. The wildlife in the immediate area is abundant. The balcony off the bedroom is fantastic for sitting outside with a cup of coffee listening to the roar of the water nearby. We have always loved the unique look of an A-Frame. It's like owning a Harley or an Airstream. Why have a home like everyone else!

What makes this chalet unique

Walk into the RMNP Morraine Park area. Walk to the best restaurant in Estes Park - The Dunraven. Enjoy local wildlife.

Quiet and peaceful

What a great place to have a honeymoon! We were there about 15 minutes when we saw two elk walk thru the back yard. The next day we were greeted by a black bear and the rest of the week is was not uncommon to have deer in the yard! With no cable TV it gave us time to put the real world behind us. We highly recommend anyone to stay here. There are no pictures of the bathroom and there should be, it was very nice as was the rest of the house. We hope to stay here again.

Great location, quiet, comfortable & clean. The first floor is so spacious with a great kitchen! Saw deer, fox right out the door, robin's nest on balcony. Would stay here again!

Great location, cute A-Frame

  • 5 of 5
My husband, son and I stayed here for a long weekend and absolutely loved it. Traditional A-Frame house with 2 bedrooms on 2nd floor. Comfy furniture, wood burning fire place. We absolutely loved the location - great proximity to the Beaver Meadows station in Rocky Mountain Park and just down the road from town, with a wonderful coffee shop even closer. We loved being able to walk to the Dunraven Hotel restaurant. Definitely would come again. Andrea provided excellent information and her guidebook has a lot of options for hiking RMP.

Great location, great place, great stay!

  • 4 of 5
My husband and I spent two nights here over New Year's and it was the perfect get-away. We didn't want to be in the midst of the town but not so far that it was a haul to explore it, and this was what we were looking for. Hiking trails can be accessed from the cabin, but we drove short distances to some others...came back and walked down to enjoy awesome Italian food at the Dunraven.

We totally enjoyed our stay, and Andrea was great to work with. Two thumbs up!

Was fine

  • 4 of 5
Cute little A-frame, had dishwasher and laundry which was very helpful. We hiked up the mountain in back, but was disappointed we had no yard to speak of for the kids to romp around in. Plenty of room and nice selection of movies. There was evidence of the last occupants - we found socks and hair bands under furniture...

Owner's Response: Hi Danel, Thank you for your feedback. The bulk of our yard is in the front and side of the house. It is an odd property line! We state that in the rental contract that the property behind our house is not ours. I am glad you liked the location, hiking and movie selection. I also spoke with our housekeeper about the items you found under the couch. She is going to start moving and cleaning under the furniture from now on. Thank you for bringing it our attention.
