This beautiful contemporary lake home is situated on 12 acres of lovely wooded land on the shores of Cayuga Lake. Spend your days playing on the 200 feet of the small pebble beach, fishing off the dock, swimming to the raft, hiking in the woods or enjoying a beach campfire. Spend the afternoon touring many of the wineries nearby, hiking the gorges in the Fingerlakes State parks, skydiving, shopping in Ithaca or visiting Cornell University and Ithaca College. There's great antique shopping too.

Huge windows allow views of the lake from almost any room in the house. A full kitchen with a dishwasher will make meals easy and enjoyable whether inside or out on the deck. The fireplace, wood stove and/or electric furnace will keep you cozy on those cool Spring or Fall days and ceiling fans and vent windows cool in the Summer. The sunroom is an added bonus where you can get away to read and relax. Beautiful hardwood floors and tile make upkeep easy.

Just returned from the lake house and I have only good things to say about our vacation. Candy is a delightful and accommodating woman and her home is wonderful. The design of the house lets in plenty of natural light and the abundance of windows makes you feel like you're outside. The open floor plan is perfect so those working in the kitchen- you can still be involved in conversation with those at the dinner table or even sitting on the perfectly located deck. The home is rather secluded, providing a feeling of intimacy with the surroundings and is definitely a haven for relaxation. Jest a few miles from the falls and some area wineries, between the beach and these attractions, there is plenty to do.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We had a wonderful time and this beautiful home on the lake. The property is gorgeous and the home is clean and well maintained. We arrived to fresh flowers throughout the house and the owner is a lovely woman.

A wonderful property with wonderful landlords!!

This is by far our favorite of the many homes we've rented on cayuga lake! Growing up in the area we know how important location is and this lake home is perfectly located!! We have rented this property for 3 years in a row because of its close proximity to taughannock State Park which has one of the prettiest and tallest falls in the area. This property is also within minutes to several fabulous wineries. The home itself is spacious, comfortable and nestled amidst acres and acres of peaceful serenity (which other properties totally lack!) Last year we took photos of a momma fox with her two babies in the driveway. Just beautiful!! Amanda Ocala, Florida

The lakehouse is lovely; the many windows bring the outside in, so that even if the weather is uncooperative, the experience is still one of "being with nature." Comfy home with all the amenities. The area is chock full of things to see and do...wineries to visit, falls and gorges, hiking, and many excellent restaurants. All in all, we recommend it highly!
