It is a convinient location very central with great restourant, bars, shopping and supermarket all around the corner
it was the perfect vacation in Venice and mostly because we decided not to stay to the usual hotels but experience the city as a local can do. the apartment is located in the center of the city but not in the touristic area and has a lot of charm and great views. is newly renovated and very clean . my wife and i are already planning our return trip to Venice maybe next year and we hope we will be able to stay again in this very romantic loft
We found the apartment to be as described by the previous reviews, so we'll just share our experience with the host. Bruno is very communicative and easy going, which put us at ease from the time of booking until we left. He was very accommodating to our arrival and leaving times, and it was nice to know that he was in the apartment below us in case we needed anything. One night we had a couple of friends drive up from Rome to visit us so we asked if they could stay with us. Bruno was so kind to say yes, and went above and beyond by bringing fresh sheets and towels for them!
The only minor issues were that we felt we had to speak quietly as there is no acoustic separation between the attic and apartments below. Also be aware that the futon is a couch (it doesn't fold out and is not so great to sleep on). Otherwise an entirely atmospheric and romantic nest, with views over Venetian rooftops.
Stayed in Bruno's place for 2 days post cruise. Lovely conversion, the area is v central.Venice in July is a nightmare so it was nice to be so high up and just hear the trickle of voices up from the street.
The loft is well equipped although another couple of glasses would not go amiss and was quite clean. Bruno was v accommodating,we arrived early and he was waiting for us,helping bring up the bags...it is a hike up the stairs but doable,The bathroom v modern and so lovely to sink in a huge bath after a day's walking. There is an effective a/c which we did not need as it was unusually cool following a couple of thunderstorms
We experienced a huge thunderstorm and the view from the window was spectacular..Bruno sorry I ran away with your umbrella but it was pouring when we left...I will bring it back next time we come..promise :)
Pls note..this is Venice...people live in each other's pockets so you might hear an interesting conversation or two from your neighbours..part of the charm .It is expensive to eat out but there is a great supermarket just round the corner opening all day including Sundays, and the rialto market is a ten minute walk so no excuse there not to whip up a meal, the kitchen is well equipped for 2 ppl.
We loved the bedroom although the bed on the floor might be a challenge for persons with back problems, you can fling the windows wide open and hear the church bells and chatter of daily life waft up to you, mixed with the seagulls shrill songs.
The vaporetto stop is also round the corner however we walked everywhere, san marco is only a five minute walk away but way too crowded so we enjoyed exploring cannaregio, dorsoduro and the san polo area itself...get away from the main Calle and get lost in the real Venice.Having said that,it was a very easy journey post cruise with luggage on the 2 traghetto from San Basilio terminal and also back to Piazzale Roma for the aerobus.
A very pleasant stay indeed and Bruno is very easy to get hold of and communicate with...he has made a lovely conversion out of the loft as well..a perfect host
A presto Bruno e grazie mille

Apartment is exactly as advertised. Very nice place, clean, comfortable, well furnished. Great location, very quite. Our only frustration was the women the owners have greet you speaks barely any english, so it was a little difficult when we showed up early (Bruno was made aware) and she was not expecting us. We had a hard time explaining our fight situation and that we just wanted to drop our bags off. As you can see in the pictures it is an attic with very low ceilings and we both spent the two nights hunched over and bumping our heads. Overall however, it was a great spacious apartment and we would stay again. Thanks Bruno for the experience!
We spent two nights in this Venetian loft in October - lovely location, close to everything, but a nice quiet neighborhood at night. The apartment is clean, just as it is shown in the pictures. There are charming views from all windows and lovely church bells tolling in the distance. Some "ducking" will be required around the lower parts of the attic ceiling, but we didn't find it problematic. We would happily stay again!
The re-modeling of this attic had been beautifully done. It was nicely decorated and very comfortable. My husband is 6'1", but he got used to the low ceiling. The location was wonderful. We would love to spend another week in this apartment!
