What a wonderful way to ring in the new year! The beach cottage was everything described and more! The location is breathtaking! Situated across from Shoreline Park with beautiful ocean views and amazing sunsets! Just a few steps away from Leadbetter Beach where we had breakfast at the beach cafe in the sand, soaked up the sun and watched the surfers and paddle boarders, and then explored the tide pools in the afternoon! We enjoyed long walks along the beach in the mornings, and walked into town for shopping and lunch in the afternoons. We loved that the cottage is located between the touristy part of town and a neighborhood so that you can see all of the Santa Barbara sites, or enjoy living like a local. We have stayed at many beach rentals over the years, and have never stayed at one as superbly decorated, clean, or as well equipped with amenities such as bikes, bedding, towels, kitchen appliances and necessities, and cleaning supplies. You can just show up and relax and not have to worry about running to the store so that you have coffee in the morning! Staying at the beach cottage was truly a vacation, and at the same time, felt perfectly like home!
