My son persuaded my wife and me to accompany him to Maui on the first leg of his travel adventure to Australia, Singapore and Taiwan. Prior to this I had no intention to visit Hawaii.

On arrival close to midnight, I found a very comfortable setting like a friend's home. The longer I stayed the more I realized that the owner had an eye for detail. As a forensic accountant, I am trained to have an eye for detail. The owner, Jan appears to a person that enjoys the process of home improvement.

For example, there is a safety deposit box, double shower, with vanity mirror. Nothing cheap here - granite wash basins in the washroom and in the kitchen. I discovered too late an excellent travel guide on Maui by Andrew Doughty called Maui Revealed. There are CDS or DVDS on Maui, snorkel and fins under the bed as well as life jackets. Even a cooler to keep your drinks cold, every conceivable kitchen utensil including coffee grinder as I wanted to try the Kona brand. Stop at Costco near the airport to stock up on groceries.

The owner is also a tech junkie - Netflix available on Blue Ray, chargers fro your Iphones, connections for your IPAD and Lap Top as well as wifi - a lifesaver.

The complex are owned by private owners with a property manager. It's very quiet, no kids while I was there. There are lawn chairs, barbecue areas and a swimming pool.

Most important, you are literally situated on the beach. You are greeted by the sound of pounding waves.

Very Impressive. I appreciated the place even more when we drove to Black Rock right where the Sheraton Resort Hotel is situated. Here you feel the commercial atmosphere -which is very fake to me.

We stayed from Wednesday May 1st to 4th. I am writing this on my last evening. We went to watch the sunrise at Haleakala and got caught in a traffic jam caused by an accident on the way back. Boy did I appreciate the peace and relax atmosphere even more.

Jan you thought of everything, my hats off to you.

Note: It takes about an hour to drive from the airport. Try to arrive during daylight. You will need to rent a car.

I was looking for a comfortable and modern condo in Maui on the waterfront. We arrived late at night and the next morning it was clear that the Lanai with the gorgeous view of the ocean, sunset, and the island was the attraction for me. Jan did a great job stocking the apartment with everything needed and the property is not crowded. Great stay

WONDERFUL Condo!

We just returned from Maui (first trip to Hawaii), and this condo was a wonderful place to call home for our two week stay. The condo was beautiful! Very clean, very nicely decorated with good quality fixtures and furnishings from solid surface countertops to a new walk-in shower, fully stocked and well organized kitchen, solid cabinetry. Loved being right on the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing against the sea wall could be heard throughout the unit ~ always had the slider open so we could hear the ocean. From the lanai we watched sea turtles right by the sea wall, and from day one of our vacation we could enjoy watching the whales. Loved having breakfast on the lanai and watching these beautiful creatures! There was a large computer monitor in the condo available so we could hook up our notebook and have a bigger screen, which was good for me as I do medical billing and could do that easier while I was away. The CA King sized bed was wonderful!! I have a bad neck and hip and can't seem to stay anywhere without being in pain. I had NO trouble; the bed was so comfortable. My husband found this piece of paradise for our first trip to Maui, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return. The condo owner was very helpful from reserving the unit to the end of our vacation, and he provides information in the unit of where to eat, good places for shopping and even where to get souvenirs inexpensively! We felt right at home and were sad to leave. LOVED it and look forward to returning hopefully in the not too distant future!

WE Love it HERE!!!

My Wife and I have now stayed at this unit twice for two weeks each time. The condo has all the modern comforts of home, and is spotless and modernized. The kitchen has everything you need. The location is fantastic and the view from the 3rd story balcony is beautiful and peaceful. In the morning you can watch the sea turtles feeding feet away from you at the sea wall, while hump back whales are breaching off shore. Bring a pair of binoculars as you will be tempted to never leave the balcony for the nonstop whale jumping (in season ). If the whales are not in season keep a watch out for the stingrays that fly by in small packs. The surfacing of turtles is a all day long event and the little ones can be quite amusing. You are crawling distance to the beach, and small stores where you can rent snorkeling gear etc , as well as the Maui Brewing Company restaurant. You are a 10 minute drive from the historic whaling town of Lahaina where shopping and restaurants are plentiful. My Wife and I have traveled extensively and this is the first place we have gone that feels like home to us. We look forward to our third vacation to this fantastic spot in the future !!

We found the accommodations perfect for our family of four. Both the king sized bed and the pullout bed were very comfortable. The shower had very good water pressure and the kitchen was set up to make anything you may want. The location worked very well for us as we explored as much of the island as we could. We really enjoyed the quiet privacy that we had when outside the condo near the water. We were close enough to the water to see whales from the lanai. The owner was available at all hours to answer any questions and his description of the unit was very accurate. We will happily return!
