Colorado Riverfront Home

My husband and I really enjoyed our getaway to the Riverhouse - a secluded unique, eccentric, very hip house right on the Crystal River. We spent plenty of outside quite time on the deck right next to the river, and fell asleep to the sound of the river each night. Wow. The house also allows for plenty of comfort with a great kitchen (I finally got to cook on a Wolf commercial gas stove!) and living area. Lots of room inside and outside. The owner is very helpful and obviously wants you to have a great time. She went "above and beyond" for us. We are eager to return.

We and two other couples booked the house for a weekend get away close to the Colorado Wine Country. We were very pleased with the house, amenities and the seclusion. All of us enjoyed sitting out on the patio and listing to the river. Really enjoyed meeting our hostess on our last night there as well. Have recommended it to our friends and would most certainly go back.

We Stayed during Winter X 2011, It was me, my boyfriend, two girlfriends, and my boyfriends brother. We all came from KY, except for my boyfriends brother that came from MN. Everything was soooo perfect! It was clean, neat, 2 bathrooms came in handy with 3 girls ;). Once we figured out how to work the disc changer we enjoyed the surround sound. And the loft was so great to just sit up there and relax while watching the river, which was way closer than I could ever think, and AMAZING!!!! The stove was great, I love to cook and this was perfect for cooking for 5 people, I really want one now btw! :)

The location is perfect as well, it was no time to get to the mountains and events for Winter X. And, you may have seen comments about a fishing hole, well we were there in Jan. and we found our own amazing little river jewel... we left a bit of a riddle in the guest book as well to help you find it, trust me you WILL want to find it! I'll give you a hint the river was freezing but we went for a dip in it and stayed a while it was relaxing and perfect!

The owners are wonderful to work with, a real pleasure to speak to, and helped us with any questions that came up before we got there right away, very reassuring since we were traveling from so far. The only thing we missed was the hot tub but ended up not needing that at all after discovering our river jewel ;) I would not have changed anything about our stay at the Riverhouse I could picture coming there for every season.

Oh and how could I forget the owners cousin ended up winning the Winter X Snowboard Snowcross Event! Which made it even more special! We were very happy for them!
