The “Negen straatjes”
(9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s exciting smaller boutiques, are just a
short walk away. The Palace on Dam Square, the hectic Kalverstraat shopping
street, the Red Light District and the calm of the Vondel park are also within
easy reach, either on foot, by bike or by tram. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food
market on a Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. The Museumplein, home to the
Van Gogh Museum, the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the
Rijksmuseum with its collection of world renowned masterworks, is but a 15-minute stroll away (or 5-minute tram ride). There is something for every taste!
