Large and modern one bedroom apartment, for up to four people, in the Old West area of Amsterdam.
With its stained glass
windows and high corniced ceilings, this large apartment, on two floors, is a
mix of contemporary styling and traditional, authentic features. The light and spacious
living area on the first floor, features a large sofa and flat screen
television with cable and DVD player. There is also a french balcony to catch those morning rays. At the back of the apartment is the dining area with a large table with six chairs. The adjoining (open plan) sleeping area, at the front of the apartment, features a double bed. The second bedroom
also features a double bed. The bathroom
is equipped with a bath and shower. The separate kitchen,
on the ground floor, is well equipped, including an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a
freezer and a dishwasher. All in all, a
spacious, authentic apartment with everything you need to have a great stay in

The apartment is
situated on the Eerste Helmerstraat, in the West of Amsterdam. With plenty of
shops, cafés and restaurants in the neighborhood, you will not have to go far to
find what you need. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, the Vondelpark
is just around the corner – a green haven in the centre of bustling Amsterdam.
The famous Jordaan
area, with its “Negen straatjes” (9 streets), home to many of Amsterdam’s
exciting smaller boutiques, is just a 10 minute walk away. The Palace on Dam
Square or the hectic Kalverstraat shopping street are also within easy reach,
either on foot, by bike or tram. Visit the tempting Lindengracht food market on a
Saturday morning, or the farmers' market on the Noordermarkt. A twenty minute stroll
away (or 5 minute tram ride) is the Museumplein, home to the Van Gogh Museum,
the newly reopened Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Rijksmuseum with its
collection of world renowned masterworks. Something for every taste!
For those of you who
want to venture a little further afield, hop on one of the many trams to take
you across Amsterdam. The main train station, Central Station, is also just a
short ride away.
