We stayed at McBride for 2 weeks. We were visiting from England, we found the accomodation to be clean and well maintained. the grounds are extensive. The owner was most helpful regarding local area and things to do. If you are looking for a quiet retreat this is the place for you. There are so many walks, and parks to visit. The ancient forest was spectacular. Whilst out driving at differerent times we saw 5 bears, an elk, a lynx, and a baby moose.
