Great Price. Nice third-floor corner unit directly on the Gulf of Mexico! This is a great beachfront vacation rental, and features a great view of the beach and sunsets. This Condo Complex is a private gated community with a thousand feet of secluded beach. There are 5 outside pools and 1 heated indoor pool, 3 hot tubs, sauna room, steam room, World class golf right onsite, and tennis courts. Very clean, neat, quiet, and recently redecorated one bedroom one bath condo that sleeps 6 (1 queen size bed in Master bedroom, bunk beds in hallway, double fold out couch). There are two TVs and Two VCRs and a DVD player for your enjoyment. Everything you need is in this vacation rental including a fully equipped kitchen which includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and plates and utensils. A great place to come have fun in the sun, get away from everything, relax, play, and just enjoy life!! This is a great place for your vacation! You will love Plantation.

On-site amenities include six pools with one indoor pool (it is located inside a neat Geodesic Dome that houses a hot tub, sauna, and kids game room!), tennis courts, basketball courts, hot tubs, work-out facility/ 2 whirlpools, a Beach Store-serves Starbucks coffee, and Kiva Dunes Golf Course right next door that has been designed by former US Open champion Jerry Pate. Everything is in excellent condition and ready for a great vacation experience! We are located about 12 miles West of Gulf Shores on the sugar white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico- directly on the beach in a family friendly gated community.

You will feel the hospitality and traditions of the South, in the spring enjoy the scenic drive and enjoy the homes and the beautiful azaleas along Hwy 180 as you go toward you destination. This is a beautiful beach community at one of the most scenic stretches of beach on the Gulf Coast. The Plantation is a gated resort offering over 4000 feet of private, white beach frontage, natural sand dunes, and beautiful landscaping.It is truly a beautiful and peaceful community. Activities are available on-site , and the Plantation is perfect for getaways. If you are coming from afar you may choose either the Mobile or Pensacola Airports. This is a wonderful place to come and get away, relax and enjoy yourself.

Thank you so much for renting us your condo the week before Memorial Day. We totally enjoyed our stay and loved the balcony overlooking the beach. It was very quiet and very clean and I enjoyed staying there much more than a hotel. I was so excited to be staying right on the beach that I was getting up at 4:00 am just so I could go on the balcony and listen to the ocean. One morning we even saw 2 wild rabbits right below the balcony on the grass area right by the small pool. The beaches and the water were just breathtaking and I liked the fact that the Plantation was not on the main strip so it was not near as crowded. I'm sad that my vacation is over but I look forward to coming back. Thank you for all the information on all the wonderful restaurants in Gulf Shores. Our favorite place to eat was Papa Rocca's.
Owner's Response: Plantation is like home away from home but with a relaxing vacation feeling. We love for our renters to have a great time. We do have a lot of beautiful natural dunes that enhance our view rather than a lot of high rise condos. It is a breath taking picture looking out from the balcony at the beach and beautiful Gulf waters. Sometimes in the mornings you can even see the dolphins swim by!! We are glad to hear that others like Papa Roccos - they have always served us excellent food!

The Plantation provided a great atmosphere and the unit was situated so you don't have alot of traffic.

Good communication and accurate description from the owner and the view was probably the best one of all the buildings.

Everything was in working order. Cold air and ice maker was nice for the heat of the day. Front door(s) could use some work for ease of access.

Great Labor Day weekend and Fort Morgan is the getaway place!
Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. The view and the location is the best!!! You can look for miles up and down the beach from the balcony. And we are located in a quiet part of the beach.

The condo was perfect...when he says it is right on the beach, he means it. It was very clean, and extremely cozy.

David had wonderful communication through emails and telephone calls. He really wants you to enjoy your stay there.

My wife and stepdaughter enjoyed all of the pools and the beach.

I really couldn't have asked for a better first-time renting a condo, and I intend to rent David's again. Extremely affordable.

We try and make sure that you enjoyed your stay at our condo and your experience at the condo complex Gulf Shores Plantations. Sounds like you did! There are so many pools to enjoy and all of them are beach side. We do have an indoor heated pool as well. You will never get bored at our condo with tennis, hot tubs (3), work out rooms, steam room, sauna, basketball, horseshoes, game room, on site eating places and bar, and free wireless internet access, and Kva Dunes golf course.

The view from our balcony is super. My wife and her family are down there this weekend. I hate that I have to work this weekend or I would be down there. I miss the great seafood, especially my favorite - Royal Red Shrimp.

You all need to come back. We are planning several upgrades to the condo this Fall to make it even more enjoyable. It was good talking to you and communicating with you through e-mail. We love making sure everyone has a great time on their well deserved beach vacation.

Great Beach Trip!

Three Boys & Mom and Dad Kansas City Area

My husband, three sons (ages 13, 10, and 7), and I spent five nights in this terrific condo! The view from the balcony was great, as was the location to the boardwalk and beach. We enjoyed the entire Plantation resort and appreciated the conveniently located laundry. We were pleasantly surprised to learn we could "pack things up" neatly on the beach each evening (umbrella, sand toys, deck chairs) and leave them there rather than haul them up to the condo each day. This was our first trip to Gulf Shores; people who visit frequently also commented on how great this private beach area was, especially family-friendly (compared to the crowded Orange Beach area). The condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we ate every meal but one in! David was very quick to reply to inquiries and extremely friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely recommend this property and hope to be back! On a final note, the location of this resort and property to the ferry from Dauphin Island was really terrific (we took the ferry on our way in from New Orleans). Our boys especially enjoyed that!

The beach is private and many people including us just leave their beach stuff at the beach and have never had a problem returning to find it all there. You are right about the ferry trip from Fort Morgan to Dauphin island is a great way to cross Mobile Bay and visit Dauphin Island. It too has some very nice beaches. Thanks for all of your comments, and it was a pleasure dealing with you and setting up your stay at he condo. Glad you found it so accomodating to your family's needs. Great Condo and Great Location

Thank you so much for turning us into Gulf Shores lovers!!We will be back and would recommend this condo and the Plantations complex to anyone.The condo was very comfortable and we loved the gulf view.The location worked very well for us as it was a beautiful beach and not overly crowded.We tended to want to stay right where we were as there were pools, tennis,crab walks at night and even a small sandwich shop if we needed anything.Other guests were very friendly as well.On the few occasions when we did want to venture out there were many options nearby...restaurants, shops, putt putt,a water park, etc. We really miss those "Royal Red" shrimp at Papa Rocco's!

And you are right the Royal Red shrimp at Papa Roccos are the best in the area. Royal Reds are a deep water shrimp that tastes just like lobster! They are even served with butter.
