Fantastic experience! Perfect for large groups!

We spent a weekend at the Raquette Lodge with a large group. We could not have asked for a more beautiful, private, and memorable location! It was spacious, clean, and stunning, and the owners were a pleasure to work with. We honestly could not have imagined finding a more perfect spot in all of the Adirondacks, especially not for such a reasonable price.

We had many outdoor enthusiasts in our group, who were all thrilled by the easy hiking, kayaking, and canoeing access. Others simply enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace or taking in the gorgeous views from the hot tub.

Truly a fabulous spot for large families or groups. We have already gotten many phone calls from people in our group asking how soon we can all go back!

Thanks for a truly memorable and wonderful experience.

The Lodge is a wonderful place to get away yet enjoy all the conveniences of home and then some! Our family enjoyed our second stay at the Lodge for our annual Columbus Day Get Away and hope to make this our annual home away from home for years to come. Everyone under one roof with tons of things to do for all ages, with incredible views just in case you don't want to do anything except hang out on the porch. We highly recommend this property for large gatherings in an intimate setting. Donna and John are wonderful to work with when coordinating your get away and customer service is clearly a priority for them.

The Lodge in South Colton

The Lodge is a great place to vacation if you're looking to get away. It's clean, comfortable, and rustic. We love the feeling of privacy. We are all able to sit together for meals or games at the large harvest table. The outdoor hot tub and the shuffle board table are great fun after a day of sledding or snow shoeing. John & Donna are great: they're always available and most helpful. This will be our fourth year at the Lodge; it's obvious we love it!

Our whole family had a blast! I would recommend this lodge to anyone who wants to get away in peace/quiet/serenity. The setting is beautiful and we had campfires, hot tubbing, and restfull nights. We also had fun boating, fishing, swimming, volleyball, bocciball, baseball-(5 run rule:), and hiking to the falls. The "Hardware" Store is fabulous- we went everyday. The people of South Colton are wonderful. Higley State Park was great for the younger kids-having a beach area. Donna and John were very helpful and easy to work with. We went to the Farmers' Market in Canton, in the park, which was great for fresh veggies. We'd love to see this place in the winter.

amazing time in a secluded getaway

My wife and I spent a fantastic three days here. This place was very well appointed and very inviting. Sitting in the hot tub on a cold winters day was extremely pleasant, we even had a bald eagle fly over us while we were having a soak. The property was well appointed and even had snow shoes. Unfortunately there was no snow to use them. The house has everything you could want for a romantic getaway for two and the space to accommodate a large family.
