The natural stone house is a detached property and located in a quiet olive grove with a sea view. The units in the house have state of the art furnishings. The units are situated in a way that they are fully independent of each other and offer a private area for rest and relaxation. The house is an ideal location for hiking groups or large family groups of up to 11 people. The property is surrounded by walls and is suitable for children. There is a small holiday resort town with two taverns located up from the house. There are kilometers of sandy beaches situated down from the house with taverns where one can enjoy original Cretan cuisine and great wine from the region. The beaches are located minutes away by car. They are 20/30 minutes away by foot. On the way to the house you can get your shopping in one of the two supermarkets in Rethymon.

The single room apartment is located under house 2. It is a beautiful room with a French bed, cupboard, kitchenette, table, and two chairs. The bathroom is located on the west side. It also has a roofed terrace with two chairs and a small table. There is air conditioning which can be especially useful in summer so that you can still sleep even during high temperatures. There is also a sun lounger available which fits nicely between the two palm trees on your terrace. From there you can see the sea through the olive trees. Unfortunately, a full view over the sea as from house 1 and 2 is not possible as the apartment is located lower down than the other two. The whole garden is usable by all guests and here you can relax and unwind on the walled seating area near the olive trees.

Nearest Ferry: Rethimnon at 55 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 1.5 Kilometres

The traditional town is called Agia Paraskevi. It has 24 houses, two small chapels, a children's play area and a small cafe in the center. All houses are made of stone and fit well into the mountains and landscape. You really have a dream view over the sea and the two islands Paximadis and Gaftos. The town is only occupied by walkers and travelers during the summer months. Castello Penita is situated 400 meters down from the town center.

Das sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienhaus in einsamer Lage hat unseren Wünschen und Bedürfnissen voll entsprochen. Die Strände sind fantastisch. Wer fernab vom Tourismus seinen Urlaub verbringen möchte, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder!
