Perfect Puerto Rico getaway

My husband and I stayed here for 3 weeks in Feb. It is the bottom half of a duplex home, and the owners, Renee and Angela live upstairs. The Rincon Angel is very charming - has a spacious feel with the tall ceilings and colorful tropical decor - very much the way it's pictured. Nice sized kitchen which we used quite a bit to prepare meals at home. Also a gas grill is handy which we used a few times.
The shaded patio is large and we often ate breakfast and lunch outside.
There is one bathroom, but the 2nd bedroom has a vanity area with
sink, which I used every day as my dressing area. Washer and dryer
is located next to the outdoor shower and is very convenient to use.
AC is available in the 2 bedrooms, but we never felt the need to use
it, as there always seemed to be a nice breeze and the large ceiling
fans were all we needed.
Had our laptop with us, as well as my IPhone, and the WiFI connection is excellent - never had any problem.
We really enjoyed meeting Angela and Rene - they are lovely people
and make you feel very welcome.
As far as the area, it is a very nice residential neighborhood with a combination of permanent residents and rental homes. We recommend the Econo for groceries - a short drive toward town.
The closest beach is an easy 5-minute walk and you can try a little snorkeling off of Steps Beach if conditions are right. There are any number of beaches you can drive to and explore. Saw some great surfing action, as this is a popular surfer destination in the winter months.
This was a great location for exploring the western part of PR. We
did a few day trips, could have done more, but got a little lazy!
Definitely take a drive down to the CaboRojo lighthouse at the
SW tip of the island - spectacular scenery and prettiest beach - LaPlayuela. You can stop for a good seafood lunch in the Joyuda
area.
Some of our favorite restaurants were The English Rose for breakfast
(very close by), Lazy Parrot(tropical), Das Alpen Cafe(authentic
German and Italian) and Rincon Tropical for local fare.
One thing - the location as shown on the Google map is not
quite accurate. The house is actually located just off of 413, not 115,
as shown, and there is a fair amount of daytime traffic. Parking at the house is an off-street driveway, so this was not a concern.
I could go on, but all-in-all, this was a beautiful place to be, a good value, and we sure did hate to leave! Thanks for everything, Angela and Renee.
