Park your car and bicycle on the island, walk the wildlife trails and stroll the beach from the Back River to the Tybee Lighthouse and beyond. Dine at romantic and trendy four-star restaurants, several only blocks from the Herons' Nest. View the Back River at sunset only steps from your door. Relax in the quiet Venetian District on Tybee's Back River.

Kayaking: Tybee is famous for it's excellent kayaking and the Heron's Nest is located within 1/2 a block of Alley #3 the premier kayaking spot on Tybee. Pull your own kayak from the Heron's Nest or reserve a kayak from one of

the many kayack companies located on Tybee. They will deliver the kayak to Alley #3 and pick it up when you

are through. ' Little Tybee Island' is a perfect destination for your kayak trip or paddle through the many marsh

inlets that surround the island.

Historic Site Seeing: The Savannah area is famous for historic activities. Historic sites abound from Tybee's Historic lighthouse

complex to Savannah's famous cobblestone River Street. You will need to set aside several days to appreciate and savor the history of Savannah.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the Herons' Nest. It was everything you said and more. Just like home! Your food recommendations were awesome! AJ"s out of this world, Breakfact Club Sunday a.m. early was the ticket! We look forward to coming back many times this summer!

Thank you so much for the beautiful "retreat". This is the most peaceful and charming
cottage. I love the art work, the porch and the lovely garden. I have relaxed as never before, read 3 great books and listened to the birds sing. Tybee is so great! All of the recommendations that you made are so helpful. I can't wait to come back and bring my husband, he will love it. Even all of the rain didn't dampen the spirits of this darling place.

Wonderful Stay!!

Jason and I had a wonderful stay at the Herons' Nest. It was quiet and private which are two things we look for; after a long day which included getting married it was so nice to come home to this clean comfy cottage. Even young people enjoy the simple things-ha! (both 21 years)
