5 minute walk to Lambert's Cove Beach or Uncle Seth's Pond (both perfect for children) from this charming cottage nestled at the end of a meadow-- in the quiet, up-island countryside of Martha's Vineyard.

This four-bedroom/ 2.5-bath cottage features a living room with a fireplace, and a screened porch with a lovely pastoral view. There are three bedrooms and 1.5 baths on the ground floor. The second floor has a private outside entrance, a king or twin beds, a bath, and a private deck.

You'll enjoy privacy, quiet, and easy access to one of the island's premier beaches.

Supermarket, drug store , post office, bank and good coffee are a one mile bike or jog away

Beach Access: Lamberts Cove Beach is restricted to residents of West Tisbury. A walk-on pass is provided to renters of the cottage. The beach is a short 5 min. walk from the house.

Uncle Seth's Pond: Long popular with young families and their small children and for those who prefer warmer fresh water, Uncle Seths's Pond is also a 5 min. walk from the house.

Adult bikes and single or tandom kayaks are provided

About Breck and Mary Montague

I started coming to the Vineyard from Virginia as a small child in the 1950's. We are now a multi generational Vineyard summer family and know the Island intimately. We come with our children and grand child every year.

Breck and Mary Montague purchased this house in 1962
Why Breck and Mary Montague chose West Tisbury

The land was given to my Mother by an old Island friend in the end of her field on Lmbert's Cove Road. The original house was built by my parents in the early 1960's and we have added and improved it over the years.

What makes this house unique

Away from the crowds and hustle of the towns, the location is quiet and peaceful. The view from the screened poorch down into the dell is lovely. The beach is truly a 5 minute walk away. When you are done the outdoor shower is refreshing.

The Vineyard has exceptional conservation properties that are available to the public for hiking or beach access. There is excellent public transportation and bike paths extend to most of the island.
