This 1,300-square-foot cottage is centrally located within the beautiful town of Kanab, Utah. We are proud to offer our unique home for consideration during your stay. Hand-laid rock, an array of Geodes, polished rock, petrified wood, sandstone, and fossils make The Rock Cottage a one-of-a-kind home.
This two-bedroom/one bath home sleeps up to six comfortably. There is one king-size bed, one queen-size bed, and one convertible bed. The living room has a queen-size futon sofa and a gas stove fireplace that will keep you warm on cold winter evenings.
Pine-log furniture and hickory hardwood floors throughout add to the warm and cozy atmosphere. Amenities include a TV/DVD and satellite television.
Our inviting kitchen is fully equipped with all the plates, cups, and cooking utensils you'll need during your stay.
Kanab, Utah is strategically the most central point from which to base, as you explore the world-class scenery found in southern Utah and northern Arizona. Kanab is in the geographic center of Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Lake Powell (Glen Canyon), and the Grand Canyon North Rim. There's no better place to stay!
Many people come to this area for one or more weeks just to see and experience the region. And a hotel just isn't sufficient when you can have the comforts of our beautiful Rock Cottage, Country Cottage, or our Vermilion Vacation Home.
Kanab, Utah is well known as a center for many of the western movies created since the 1940's. In fact, over 100 westerns have been made in the Kanab region.
Not only will you enjoy seeing Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Lake Powell (Glen Canyon), and the Grand Canyon North Rim, but there are many other attractions -- including Pipe Spring National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, and Kaibab National Forest. Other attractions include the Paria movie set and Ghost Town, Frontier Movie Town, Dennys Wigwam, Western Village Shops, the Paria wilderness area (Slot Canyons), and the Gunsmoke movie set. There is so much to see and do (six or seven days may not be enough). Area activities include jeep tours, mountain biking, hiking, scenic aerial tours, rafting trips on the Colorado River, ATV riding, and horseback riding.
Upon confirmation of your reservation request, your credit card will be billed a 25% deposit -- with 90% being returnable if the reservation is cancelled 30 days prior to arrival. If cancellation occurs within less than 30 days notice, then the deposit will be non-refundable -- but may be applied to other available dates. (This deposit charge will be displayed as 'The Rock Cottage' on your credit card statement). Reservations are not guaranteed until payment has been successfully processed.
A three-night minimum is required for advanced reservations beyond 30 days. Reservations for less than three days are welcome upon request. Call for details. Check-in is after 3:00 PM; and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
Smoking policy: There is no smoking indoors, please. Proper containers will be provided outside.
Pets are not allowed at The Rock Cottage.
