The beautiful Mountain Whisper Cabin is nestled between the Massanutten and Blue Ridge Mountains and within a 1/2 mile from the Shenandoah River. The Cabin sits on a private wooded lot and is a short walk from the popular Shenandoah River Outfitters Canoe Company.

Whether you are here for a romantic weekend, family gathering or simply to get away from it all, once you visit Mountain Whisper Cabin you will never want to leave.

The Cabin is privately owned and family operated offering you all the comforts of home.

The Mountain Whisper Cabin features 3 bedrooms, 2 Queen Beds, 1 Full Bed and 1& 1/2 Baths. The fully equipped Kitchen leads to a spacious Dining and Living Room area with hardwood floors and a Gas Log Stone Fireplace. Outside a screened in back porch leads to an outdoor deck with Hot Tub for relaxing to the sounds of nature. Adjacent to the Cabin there is a picnic table and fire-pit for those who desire a camping experience.

The Cabin is located 9 miles outside the quaint town of Luray, and within 30 minutes to many popular attractions such as Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns and Golf course, canoeing and horseback riding. For winter sports enthusiasts, Massanutten Ski Resort is a short 45-minute drive.

Mountain Whisper Cabin is open year round for you to enjoy a quiet retreat in all of the seasons--

Wonderful place for family vacation

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in this beautiful location. The cabin was very clean, neat and kid friendly. We had plenty of room for all to sleep and eat comfortably. The kids enjoyed the wooded lot to run and play in. We loved the lock box option, that way we didn't have to worry about losing a key if we went hiking, swimming, etc. The pictures on the site are very accurate for what you will find. Great location-15 minutes to the caverns, 2 minutes to Shenandoah River Outfitters (great tubing trip!)and only 20 minutes to an entry for the Skyline drive. Our three year old asks every day since our return:" can we go back to the cabin today?"

This is the third time we've stayed at Mt. Whisper and we'll definitely be back for a fourth. It's a great weekend retreat where we like relaxing on the back porch and in the hot tub.

We enjoyed the house. It was neat and clean. The cable, heating, hottub, and washing machines all worked well. The one minor incovenience was that we had to carry our garbage to a site we had to drive to.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: It is always nice to hear back from customers. Mountain Whisper takes great pride in providing a beautiful clean cabin for our guest to relax and enjoy the Valley. Guest do not need to take the trash out. You can bring it down the hill to Shenandoah River Outfitters if you like, or leave it for us to pick up after your stay. Great cottage for a valley getaway!

We had a great weekend at this cottage with our two young children and my in-laws. The cottage was well-equipped with the plenty of kitchen necessities. Everything was in working order and was quite clean. The owner was very communicative and responsive leading up to our stay and checked in with us afterward as well. Very happy and would gladly recommend to everyone I know!

Nice and Restful Stay

Thank you Andrea for sharing with us your beautiful cabin. We enjoyed a restful stay. The cabin was clean, spacious for our family. The fireplace and the hot tub were perfect, specially in winter. The detailled brochures were very helpful for local attractions and we had a wonderful hiking to Shenandoah Valley Park. All in all this was a nice stay for our family.

It would have been good if there were curtains at the front window (even thought there was not privacy issue)

We are looking forward to our next visit..
