LUXURIOUS, NEW, 5 BEDROOM HOME ON THE BEACH

This home is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures on line do not do it justice. The lay out inside the home is fabulous. There is lots of space for everyone. We had 7 in our party and we were never running into one another. The beach area when we arrived was not as nice as we had hoped but after a day or two we realized every day the beach was different due to the tides. So, if it is rocky one day it may be clear and sandy the next. Just be patient and wait it out! We stayed there for 14 nights and we never tired of the view everyday. We went into town about every 2 -3 days. There is always lots to do and experience on this island. A few of our favorites were: Lucayan National Park and Gold Rock Beach- A few miles down the road, my kids favorite beach for swimming but quite a walk to get to (be prepared), loved Ben's Cave @ The Park (beautiful), Barbary Beach was deserted but absolutely gorgeous, you could drive and park right beside it (a great way to spend some time with a picnic lunch if you come prepared, Taino Beach was also great ;we went during the Conch Festival, so there was lots of fun activities going on. We especially loved the Junkanoo Parade as well as the Conch Salad. My son and husband went to Unexso to do the open ocean dolphin swim. It was expensive but their highlight of the trip so it was worth the money! We went to Paradise Cove (Deadman's Reef) for a day and it was definitely worth the drive! The snorkelling was great, lots to see. The restaurant served a good variety of food and drinks. The little gift shop had comparable items for sale to that of Port Lucaya. Speaking of Port Lucaya, we did go there a few times. We went to the beach (great), casino (husband won twice), looked through the shops (purchased a few items) and ate at Pizza Hut a few times (since the kids loved it). On our final day we went to Garden of the Groves. This was a great way to spend 2-3 hours. It was beautiful and it was a nice way to end our time in Bahamas!

The house is exactly how it is described. Everything is well equipped. There was toilet paper, bug spray,etc. You get to the house, everything is clean and ready for your vacation.
They added a beautiful lanai right at the beach. It is perfect there. Just the trash from the wood wasn't picked up yet. But I'm sure that'll come.
The ocean is mostly calm, just sometimes some waves, when there is a storm. The beach is wonderful at low tide. High tide is a problem. There are so many washed up broken corals that you need surf socks to walk in.
The island is wonderful, if you are looking for a vacation away from everything. The house is located about 35 min from Freeport, but if you plan ahead, you only need to go shopping every third day. The Solomon's supermarket had everything! We didn't miss any food and the food was fresh. Next to Solomon's is a fish market. There you can buy Lobster and fish. Outstanding.
At Pelican's Point is Bahama John's Bar. A must!!! Food and drink are great, the beach very nice and you can play beach volleyball while you're waiting fpr your food.
At Lucaya aou should check out Unexso. Great place where you can swim with dolphins. The restaurant Argave is a great place to eat, too.

We just returned from good fellows house this week. We were 2 couples with 4 children ages 7months-6yrs. The house was lovely and very spacious! The beach was at the back door:)
Downfalls: kitchen does not have a lot of basic things needed. I.e sugar , coffee filters. and the grocery is like 40 minutes away. When you get into Freeport be prepared to buy Everything you may need. Wine was very expensive but beer and liquor were priced reasonably. Beach defiantly requires beach shoes or some tough feet:) there was no beach umbrella (made it hard with a little one, but I guess we should of bought one in town. There are 2 little restaurants about 10 -15 minutes away that were very friendly and served yummy food. Dorris's and ? Right next to each other. Lucaya beach right down the road was beautiful and worth the trek. It's $5 a person. But fun to pack up lunch and go there.
