Family Friendly:
There are outdoor picnic tables, wicker tables, rocking chairs by the waterside, and a screened-in gazebo that can accommodate quite a crowd for outside dining. The Gaebo has lighting and a fan. Nice for nighttime card games.
An 8 x 12 mini guesthouse offers one couple extra privacy. The guest house has a double bed and a bureau and a window fan. There is a small porch with chair for outdoor sitting. There is parking for at least six cars.
A basketball hoop on the paved circular drive and horseshoe pits add more fun when you're not swimming or sunbathing. An outdoor gas grill comes with all the propane you need. There is 75 feet of water frontage with a (very) small sandy beach area. The size of the beach can vary with the amount of rain. Water-skiing is allowed at selected times only, which keeps the water safe for swimmers -- and keeps the noise level down. This is a very quiet area.
Enjoy your stay!:
Everything is provided for your ease of packing. Just bring your personal clothing and shop for your food. There are many grocery stores and farm stands starting less than a mile from the cabin.
There are a few movies, books, and games. We have supplied plenty of pillows, sheets, and extra blankets. You should find plenty of bottled water, propane for the grill. Enjoy the basketball hoop, horseshoes, and beach floats as available.
You'll find a large lobster pot in the kitchen and I'm a phone call away if you need any other special equipment.
The main cabin has a dining area with VERY large table. Gas Stove, refrigerator, sink and dishwasher. A 3/4 bathroom includes a washing machine and dryer. All of your laundry soap, bath soap, and shampoo are included. Kitchen, bath, and Beachtowels are plentiful.
There are 2 bedrooms: one with queen size bed, bureau, 2 closets and an air conditioner. The other bedroom has a double bed, bureau and 2 windows to the beachside.
Extra Guests:
Also on the beachside is a 'Bunkhouse'. It includes a twin bed for the adult supervision or older child. On the other wall are built in beds for 4 small children or 2 preteen/teens. A small desk and overhead light/fan. Outside to right is a portapotty.
Only the names and cars listed on your rental form are allowed on the property during your stay. In the past we had an open arrangement for any daytime guest, however, this was abused and damages have forced us to change the rules from past years.
Again, only the names and cars on your rental agreement are allowed on the property AT ANY TIME during your stay. Violating this rule is grounds for the immediate evacuation of the property by all weekly renters. No refunds will be made for remaining days.
Special guest passes may be obtained for some special guest. . Speak to us IN ADVANCE. Please do not jeopardize your vacation. Do not invite any extra visitors without our written permission. Visitors are not allowed.
Golf:
Hoodkroft Golf Cource is about one mile from the camp. (even closer than the Grocery store.)
