This 3-bedroom/2.5-bath home is a great, extended family vacation rental. You'll have fabulous views of Lake Michigan from nearly every window. And you'll have one of west Michigan's best beaches right across the street, for maximum vacation pleasure. Pere Marquette was voted one of the Great Lakes top five beaches by National Geographic, and has received numerous clean-beach awards. Young children love to play on the huge sand mound and play gym. Teenagers can enjoy beach volleyball or sunning on the beach. The sunsets over the water are spectacular to watch while sitting around the fire pit. This newer, contemporary house features soaring heights, loft spaces, and modern amenities. It's fully furnished, and includes linens, a gas grill, and beach equipment. There are two outdoor dining areas -- one on a large deck and the other on the patio. And there's a firepit in the yard.

Area Attractions: Two bedrooms each have a queen-size beds; and the loft has two sets of bunks with a double on the bottom and a single on top. There are two full bathrooms, one half-bath, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and family rooms. Nearby there are great restaurants, championship golfing, a tourist trolley, a boat launch ramp, and docking. If you're a fisherman but don't want to bring your boat, you can fish from the pier; or you can charter a captained boat. Boat slips available within walking distance. The new high-speed ferry from Milwaukee to Muskegon is only a couple of miles away. Nearby activities include swimming and fishing in either Lake Michigan or Muskegon Lake, hiking and biking on trails, and golfing. Also close by are the USS. Silversides WWII submarine, the Michigan Adventure Amusement and Water Park, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Great Lakes Downs Race Track, and the Double J Ranch.

Beautiful cottage with great view

My group of 4 adults and 4 children stayed at this cottage and found it perfect for us. We were directly across the street from such a beautiful beach, and there is a lot to do in the immediate region. The cottage was very clean and well-stocked, and the owner checked in on us several times to see if there was anything else we could need.

The first floor has a little half bathroom and a family room, and is on a patio with a nice view of the lake. The main level (the second floor) has the living room/dining room area, a full bath, a kitchen, and two bedrooms with queen beds; also, big patio windows/doors give access to the deck with plenty of seating and, again, excellent views. The loft has no doors (so we had to turn off the living room lights when the kids went to bed), but has two bunk beds (double on bottom, single on top), a full bath, and plenty of room for kids to spread out.

We also were pleased that the cottage has high-speed internet access (bring your own laptop).

We are strongly considering staying at this property next year!
