Best Retreat Smith Mountain Lake: Antiques and spectacular views of Smith Mountain Lake and the mountain from every room make this home special. Pool table , high speed, ..Sleep at night in the plush King and Queen-size beds; or curl up in the comfortable twin beds downstairs. This home is perfect for two couples or for an extended family. There is enough space for everyone. Swim right outside at the dock in the no-wake zone; or just slide into the water with the steps offered at the dock. Enjoy the most beautiful deep-green water on Smith Mountain Lake at this location. The dock with hoist and party deck, allow all to enjoy -- with a great swimming area for children and a spectacular fishing area right off the dock! October 2004 the winner of the bass striper tournament caught the fish 4 feet from this dock! (I still think it was partly our fish.) Enjoy privacy -- with woods and trails to the mountain surrounding this special spot. Hike from your own backyard through the trails, into the Wildlife Preserve.
And enjoy the peacefulness of this area while watching deer, birds, and other wildlife play. Note again: Due to wildlife preserve, no ATV's, quads or four wheelers are allowed! Log Cabin Retreat offers all the comforts and luxury you would want and deserve after a hard day of fishing, swimming, or hiking. A hot tub, grill, a covered screened porch, and open decking add to the enjoyment. Amenities include (but are not limited to) a VCR, stereo, TVs, dish TV, canoe, hot-tub, games, and books. Of course bring your dogs, because this spot will be special for them as well! The cabin is surrounded by trees. It is located on a cul-de-sac and has a very secluded ambiance on 2 acres. There's a dock, swimming ladder, side slip, dock lights, and power for nighttime fishing. There's also an awesome spot for daytime swimming. Log Cabin features fabulous views of the mountain and sunrises any time of year. The covered screened porch is a good spot to enjoy coffee, while gazing at the lake and watching your family at play in the yard or the dock. The side porch and outdoor decks give everyone in the family additional options for rest and relaxation. The fenced-in back and side yards offer protection for the young children to play; and they ensure that your family dog will not wander off. This is the only fenced in yard on the lake for rental families. The doors of the living room, dining room and kitchen open onto the back and side porches; so all can come and go as they please --
Ski: Water skiing is great, once you get out of the no-wake zone.
Golf: Award winning golf course only 5 miles from this home, Mariners Golf Course.
Guest Book: The best place on the lake, we will be back! This is our favorite home, we used to use the owners other home but his one is 2 floors with more amenities..Thanks we come every year for 2 weeks! Each time we come there are more added features! Thanks for making our stay special, after visiting 10 years here, we finally came home to this place! Good job.Smith Mountain Lake State Park is 5 minutes away, but there are hiking trails right from this neighborhood!
