Enjoy the tranquillity and climate of the real Spain! The Villa Ponderosa has its own swimming pool (8 x 4.5 metres) and enclosed gardens, with lots to do. There is crazy golf, exercise equipment and a library of English paperbacks for the less energetic! This 'rural' property is situated 4 miles inland from Mutxamel, near to the glorious sandy San Juan (Blue Flag) Beach and within easy reach of Benidorm, Terra Mitica theme park, historical Elche and beautiful Guadalest. Also Alicante with the Port, the boulevard, numerous shops and restaurants is nearly a must! Altogether a wonderful place to explore or relax. There are very good possibilities for the sports freaks such as walking the mountain area, or biking (ATB's rental at the property), moto-enduro.

Local Facilities:: Tennis courts, flying club and microlite school within 5 minutes drive, sailing within 20 mins, nearest beach within 12 miles. Valle del Sol is a delightful area with stunning views of mountains and the Mediterranean. A paradise for birdwatchers, walkers, painters, photographers, and rock-climbers or for those who just want to unwind and relax by the pool. Villa Ponderosa is near to the village of Mutxamel with its local bars, restaurants, shops, 18 hole competition golf course, private airfield and market. Nearest major airport, Alicante which is only 20 miles away.

Local golf details:: Villa Ponderosa is very convenient for 'Bonalba Golf', 'Golf Club de San Juan' and 'El Plantio' courses. Bonalba is only 4 miles away and is a championship 18-hole, par 72, 6100 metre course. Equipment, buggies and battery trollies can be hired. Practice facilities include driving range and putting greens. Please contact us for telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. Within a 15 minute drive are both the 'Golf Club de San Juan' - the new Seve Ballesteros championship course and 'El Plantio', a less demanding course. Facilities are excellent at these courses and also at the many others in this area. Visitors are made very welcome. English & Spanish spoken.

Facilities at the Ponderosa:: Well, there is of course, our super swimming pool for the exclusive use of our guests. Also we have a skittle alley, crazy (mini)golf, exercise bikes & equipment, books & games, poolside bar & all sorts of things.

Golf: BONALBA GOLF is only 5 mins away and is an excellent championship standard, 18 hole, par 72, 6,100 mt course. Nearby also are the excellent Golf Club de San Juan and the gentler par 3 course at El Plantio. Most equipment including clubs, trolleys and buggies can be hired and the staff sre always very welcoming and helpful to holiday makers. We thoroughly recommend golfing in our locality!
