Would just like to say we enjoyed the Nachlaot apartment very much. The kitchen was outfitted wonderfully and the beds were very comfortable. I will recommend the location to any of my friends and colleagues traveling to Israel and wanting a rental.
It did take a little too long to get the security deposit refunded, and my mother was a little bit annoyed.
I told the owners to feel free to use us as referrals if they need a party to vouch for the Abulafia apartment. I hope we can do business together again, and if they are ever in the Southwest of the US. I might have a rental unit for them!
We stayed in this apt. for 8 days and enjoyed every minute. The location is ideal, everything worked well and the owner was remarkably available, helpful, happy to answer a variety of questions. We would not hesitate to rent the apt. again when we return and recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable, enjoyable time.
Just returned from my trip to Israel and my family really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It's so centrally located that you can get to anywhere in minutes! Over our two week stay we walked to the old city (kotel), Ben-Yehuda St, The Central Bus Station, etc. The famous Mahane Yehuda market is literally a 2 minute walk! The owner, Steven, is extremely helpful and accomodating. I will gladly stay there again!
Great location for those who like to walk and sightsee. My wife and I stayed a week in September 2010 and had a great time. We were in walking distance to the Yehuda Market (100 meters), Main shopping area off of King George Street (300 meters), Jerusalem Central Bus Station (500 meters), Old City Jerusalem (1+ kilometer), Knesset (1+ kilometer). Liron was our hostess and she was wonderful. She helped us in our every need and took care of us like family. If you want to be around the local people and like to take walks day or night this is the place.
This apartment turned out to be absolutely ideal for our needs. It was a block and a half from the Mahane Yehuda (the Shuk), 2 blocks from Ben Yehuda St, and 2 blocks from Yaffa St. It could not have been more convenient to bus lines, a wide variety of restaurants, and shopping for every conceivable want.
Steve and his wife were very accomodating and responsive, and a great resource for all kinds of questions.
We will return again to stay here when we are in Israel in the future.
