This cozy, quiet, fully-furnished, tenth-floor, studio apartment features an outstanding view of the Makaha Valley and the ocean. It's located on the leeward side (dry side) of Oahu -- on the Waianae Coast.

The grounds are beautifully landscaped, blending well with the surrounding wild habitat. Native birds and wild peacocks awaken you at sunrise with a symphony of song. From the lanai, you overlook two 18-hole golf courses, rugged mountains, and the coastline. And it's not uncommon to catch sight of whales spouting water, just past the breakers.

Social gatherings at the swimming pool and barbecue area just seem to happen almost daily.

Here at Waianae you'll find an interesting mix of long-time residents and visitors from all over the world.

Golf:

The apartment overlooks two golf courses, the Makaha Resort and the Makaha Valley Country Club. The Resort coarse is long and wide open. The Country Club coarse is a bit shorter and more technical. Both courses are well maintained and offer scenic views of the mountains and valley down to the ocean. Both courses are open to the public.

Close to one of the best beaches on Oahu

We stayed at the condo for one month in July and thoroughly enjoyed it! One of the best things about staying in Makaha is that you are very close to one of the best, yet the least crowded, beaches on Oahu; Keawaula Beach in Yokohama Bay. Here we enjoyed snorkeling in clear deep water almost everyday surrounded by beautiful mountain views. There are also some larger waves to be enjoyed a bit further up the beach. We were also pleasantly surprised how friendly and down to earth people generally are on this side of the island. The pool at the condo was fantastic too.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Romantic Getaway

Great Place, Great Owner

The condo property is extremely beautiful. Peacocks are a constant source of amusement. The pool is very nice, and the beach is a short walk or bus ride away. It has a golf course is in your backyard, which has a great restaurant. The unit has everything you need, and a grocery store and 7/11 nearby. You might consider renting a car as the commute is 1-2 hours to go into Honolulu, otherwise a monthly bus pass is only $40.

I felt completely safe at the property,and you won't find a better deal on the island in terms of price.


Can't wait to go back and visit again.

I have visited the Makaha Valley Towers the last 3 years as a guest of my Father. Last year we purchased this unit. My wife and I enjoy this place so much we plan to retire there in the next ten years. This is the first year the apartment has been on the market as a rental. We spent Christmas furnishing, updating and getting the place ready for guests. It is now very comfortabe for a couple. Every year we plan to do more upgrades. It is a great excuse to take a working vacation. Of coarse we do allow time to enjoy the miles of uncrowded beaches and the two 18 hole golf coarses. Come and visit our home away from home. The Makaha Valley is just far enough out of the way to be a real vacation bargin. It is less than an hour away from the airport, Honolulu and Pearl Harbor.
