There is a private parking lot on the property. A private ground-level closet is available for convenient storage of all your beach and pool toys.
The uncrowded white, sandy beach consists of seven miles of beautiful Carolina coast, and is accessible by a private walkway from the property. Lifeguards are on duty at the beach during peak season and peak times. Enjoy walking the shoreline, swimming, surfing, or just relaxing on the beach.
Carolina Beach and Sea Colony are located on Pleasure Island, which is accessible by bridge from the north, or ferry boat from the south. Charter boats for fishing, dining, and tours are located in Carolina Beach. Restaurants, shopping, two fishing piers, The North Carolina Aquarium, a small amusement park, and beach rentals (boogie boards, bikes, etc.) are also on the island. Several golf courses are located close by.
Pleasure Island features various festivals throughout the year. The Spring Festival at Carolina and Kure Beaches features live entertainment, and arts and crafts.
The Island of Lights Festival in December features a flotilla in full seasonal regalia, and the Island of Lights Tour of Homes.
Take a ferry boat ride from Fort Fisher, across the mouth of the Cape Fear River to the quaint town of Southport. The historic port city of Wilmington, located 17 miles away, plays host to various special events. One such event, the North Carolina Azalea Festival in April, features live musical and theater performances, garden and historic homes tours, outdoor activities, food, and crafts.
During the summer, outdoor activities are scheduled along the Wilmington riverfront. The North Carolina Battleship Museum and Riverfront cruises are available in Wilmington.
