House:: Tamarind is a very comfortable, single storey villa which is suitable for people with walking difficulties as it is accessed directly from the covered parking bay or from the beach. The house is tastefully furnished and fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. One bathroom is ensuite and the twin beds in both rooms can be joined together to make double beds. There is a double sofa bed in the living area. Good quality linen and bath towels are provided. The garden passes through gentle sand dunes directly on to the five kilometer white sandy beach.
Your Holiday:: A morning stroll on the beach to dip your feet in the warm Indian Ocean currents is the perfect way to start your day and where the water is a perfect temperature for swimming and fantastic for exploring the numerous rock pools. The house and gardens are safe for children and there is a communal pool behind the house for supervised (by you) swimming.
The Surrounding Area:: Tamarind is centrally situated for visiting Cape Town (30 minutes away), Stellenbosch and the Winelands (15 minutes away), Hermanus for whale watching (30 minutes away) as well as the Garden Route. Nearby Somerset West has good shopping facilities. There are a number of top class golf courses in the immediate vicinity as well as many superb restaurants. The Cape area has so many things to do and places to see - tourist attractions, sporting activities, glorious beaches, and wonderful food and wine. There are comprehensive details of all the Cape area has to offer in the visitors guide in the house. There is something for everyone and you will have a most enjoyable holiday
Golf: Tamarind is within 100m of a 9 hole mashie golf course, which is free to use. There are many top class golf courses within a 30 minute drive, including Strand and Stellenbosch. The latter is a championship course, having hosted the South African Masters. Full golf details are available on booking.
