Casa Sueños (House of Dreams) is a magical escape into a Fairy Tale setting. This cedar log home is surrounded by woods.
Every morning birds will sing you wake up songs. Gorgeous wood peckers can be seen from the wrap-around deck. The sun rises through the trees into the master bedroom.
At night, the stars shine through the sky light. There is no more romantic setting... yet it's great to share with lots of family and friends as well.
Casa is just 10 minutes from the beautiful Main St. in Highlands, yet it's cozy and tucked away in the woods. You will absolutely love it and return often. Guaranteed!

My daughter and I (pictured) have shared Casa Sueños with our friend Pat ever since Pat and I were wandering down Main Street in Highlands and got curious about what the area had to offer. We walked into a realtor and asked what they had in mountain log cabins with fireplaces. Casa Sueños was the first property they showed us and it was love at first sight. We didn't plan to buy but we left the proud owners and have been loving it ever since.
Karl Ellins purchased this cabin in 2005
Getting up to the cabin is quick and easy for us with a 2 hour flight into Atlanta from Miami and then an easy drive to Highlands. As easy as it is to get to it seems a million miles away once you get there.
We have the best of both worlds with Main Street less than 10 minutes away and the solitude of the cabin. Highlands is a great little town with lots to offer including great restaurants, shopping, art, culture, all with a friendly atmosphere.
Words cannot accurately describe this property, and so I will not try to. All I can say is we were looking for a place to get away and unwind. Well, if that is your intention, then this is the place. The views are spectacular and ever changing. In the few short days we were there we had snow, clouds, and beautiful sunny blue skies as our backdrop. And all the comforts of home could be found with in the homestead. We cannot thank you enough for sharing this little slice of heaven.
This was a perfectly cozy cabin, with all details as expected. Very secluded and serene. Feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere when indeed you are only a few minutes from town. Great location, great space, will definitely visit again.
We had an amazing time with my family, it was the first time we go to the mountains and it was amazing. The cabin has everything you need, with an exquisite view along with a very nice hot tub facing the mountains. Definitely a great place to be for relaxing, fun and a different adventure. We look forward to coming back soon!!
Amazing Cabin just like the pictures and then some. Karl the owner was excellent to deal with, he made sure we were all settled in after a long 12 hour drive from Miramar, Fl. Cabin is well maintained with all the basic necessities that a family will require for a long stay. It was very clean and well stocked. As soon as we arrived at the cabin from a long drive it was like magic, it started snowing. Breathless.. The cabin is beautiful and very cozy, we spent many hours sitting in front of the fireplace just relaxing. Did I mention the Jacuzzi?? If you need to get out and get some outdoor time the Town of Highlands is a short ten minute drive up the mountain and well worth the drive. It is quaint and beautiful and has everything you can imagine. Thank you for a great Thanksgiving trip.
This is a beautiful home that is exactly as depicted in photos and description. I enjoyed this cabin for weekend getaway with 8 other girlfriends. It's so comfy & homey. The owners leave little things that make a difference. Firewood, toilet paper, cooking spray in the cabinet & coffee filters seem minor but it feels like you are at home & 9 girls without coffee would be rough. Lol so close to town just in case you do need anything though. We will definitely be making another trip to stay there. Highly recommend this beautiful home for your stay. The owner, Karl, was so easy to work with & even accommodated late check out so we didn't feel rushed to begin our rainy drive home. Thanks Karl!!
What an exceptional experience! First off, Karl is so accommodating and great to communicate with, hospitality at it's finest! The cabin was just as wonderful! So clean, so well stocked (with toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, trash bags, firewood, etc), so organized, so comfortable, so fun! You can only see one neighbor's house, so the cabin feels very private, yet you're only a 10 min drive through the beautiful mountains to cute downtown Highlands. We will be back, truly fantastic getaway!!!
