Pocasset Vacation Rental house

My most favorite part of this rental was that I didn't need to bring a pack-n-play, highchair, toys or books for the kids. I loved that it was very child friendly and set-up for children. On that note it would be awesome if they added gates on the front deck and/or to gate off the back patio area as well.

The house itself was clean, spacious and relaxing. There was plenty of towels and linens absolutely no need to bring any of those. The washer and dryer are off the kitchen so you don't have to go into a dingy basement to do laundry it was nice to have it available.

If you intend to need a blender bring one because they don't have that. Also if you are not familiar with a convection oven (that has a microwave function) prepare to learn. There is no microwave.

We did not try out the bikes (we didn't know initially where they were, apparently under the front deck).

The AC in the children's room (2 twin beds) could stand to be replaced. If you are looking for the kind of cool you will get with central AC this is not the house for you. I didn't much want to open the windows because the sills seemed dirty and most of the windows are still on strings and were quite difficult to open. The shades in the 2 double beds room needs to be replaced as well.

Off to both sides of the front deck are sitting areas that need some serious TLC they were dirty looking and not inviting but the rest of the outside areas were lovely.

The master bedroom area started to smell like mildew though. There isn't a vent in the bathroom and like I said I didn't want to open the windows for various reasons (bugs dirty etc.) It was ok once we turned the AC off for a couple of days but returned once it was back on.

The house itself could also stand to have more fans, it would get sticky in the main living area even with windows open and the 2 fans they had running.

The beach was lovely. It is a small beach and in a harbor and really more for kids. But was very uncrowded which was nice. You really have to hit the national seashore for better beaches though (and we did, highly recommend Marconi in Wellfleet). Directions to Grand Union in the house would have been nice, but we did find our way.

Do not go to Graziella's if you are looking for good pizza and or traditional italian fair, maybe they simply do it differently in the Cape?
