Superb craftsmanship highlights this contemporary cottage. Handmade furniture by master woodworker, original artwork, skylights and vaulted ceiling make this a place you wont want to leave.
Great location for wine-touring, coastal exploring or a trip to San Francisco.
We stayed at both of Aaron's beautiful rentals for a total of almost 2 months over this summer. We enjoyed both of them tremendously and did not lack for anything during our stays. Both places are so unique and comfortable; such wonderful craftsmanship and beauty. They have everything you could possibly need regardless of your length of stay. Both are within walking distance to beautiful downtown Petaluma. Aaron was very accommodating to our needs and helpful in many ways.
We would certainly recommend either of his properties to anyone wishing to enjoy the area and explore beautiful Sonoma County.
I stayed here with a very good friend of mine back in late October early November. We are from Boston and were just looking for a cute affordable get away place in the wine country region. This place was perfect! It's a funky creative positive energy place that has everything you need. It's an open concept one room cottage with a loft you can access by ladder. The location is extremely close to downtown Petaluma, one of the cutest places ever with amazing little restaurants, wonderful wine and locally crafted beer and the locals couldn't be any friendlier. We made several friends and enjoyed good times we will not soon forget. The owner, Aaron, is wonderful to work with. He is professional and friendly. Don't think twice about renting this place!
I had several long stays over the last 18 months due to the birth of a grandchild.
I was able to "work from home" in peace and quiet. Aaron is very responsive and the places are clean and very comfortable, in all weather. I was able to walk for groceries, restaurants and exercise (Petaluma is hilly). It was great for my little dogs and his are very well behaved.
This little cabin suited the 2 of us & our old standard poodle perfectly. There is even an
off-leash dog park 1 block away. The cabin is charming & the owner very gracious.
We stayed 3 weeks & used it as a base for exploring the entire Bay Area.
We stayed for a week. The cottage was fully equiped and very comfortable and clean. Bed was excellent. The location couldn't have been better. Wine country, San Francisco, and the coast were all easy day trips. Having the owner on site was a plus. We've done many internet rentals - this was easy and the best.
We were able to spend three fabulous weeks at Howard's End and had such a wonderful time we really did not want to leave! The cottage was just perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed just relaxing outside in the yard with our books and some wine. When we chose to cook our own meals, we found the kitchen to be well equipped with cooking utensils, etc. In all ways, it felt like our home for the time we were there. The location is excellent for using as a base to explore the surrounding wine regions and many beaches. Within one hour or less you can find so many diferent places to go and things to do. There are nearby parks for hiking, the river and bay for kayaking, lots of winding, hilly roads for driving and biking and of course the awesome California coastline and beaches. You can be in San Francisco in less than an hour. Downtown Petaluma is about a ten minute walk from the cottage which was great for us to be able to just take a stroll down to the many shops, restaurants ,Farmers Market, and movies. If you want to drive, parking is free in the lots. There are also many small interesting towns surrounding Petaluma and a great restaurant/bar if you like live music in Nicassio. Point Reyes National Seashore is not to be missed. We Loved It Here!!! Aaron, the owner, was very helpful if we needed info on places to go, places to eat and local happenings--even places to see the sunset. It was a pleasure staying in this neat, clean, cozy cottage. It truly felt like our home and we would love to visit again. Wish we never had to leave! Another tip-- If you like wine tasting, visit Truett-Hurst winery in the Dry Creek Valley. Very nice winery where you can picnic along the Russian River. Excellent wines also!
