We have uploaded a video of the cabin so that you can get a feel of the cabin before even stepping foot inside.

Are you trying to find a big place for your whole family? Don't you and everyone else just want their own bed at the end of the night to sleep in? How about just relaxing inside the cabin with a nice sofa, flat screen TVs in all the room and a game room with pool table, foosball table, and air hockey?

This is a beautiful 3 story cabin that has a mountain view from the main level good for a big family. It is close to the ski slope, Bear Mountain (5 min drive) while far enough where it's quite and located at a cue-de-sac. It is good for kids and the cabin is built on a slope where during winter, with enough snow, can sled down right next to the cabin.

This cabin comes with everything you might need. Here is a list of our amenities:

Parking: 2-3 parking spaces. Additional 2 can be parked on the street (non-permitted during snow season).

Noise: The cabin floor makes squeeky noises when walked on. It is in the plans to be fixed but meanwhile, it is a potential concern for some renters.

About Christian Ontog

Hey guys! Thanks for checking us out! I am excited that you found our cabin because we love our cabin. I have traveled a lot--in fact, a few years ago I did a 30 day backpacking trip with JetBlue on the All-You-Can-Jet program. I got to traveled to all different sorts of places. At these different places, I have stayed at hostels, stranger's couches, friend's living spaces, and of course, airport benches.

Right now I don't have as much time to travel but still want to get away once in a while. Once every month or so, I try to make it up here for a few days to fix the cabin and relax as much as I can.

Christian Ontog purchased this cabin in 2004
Why Christian Ontog chose Moonridge

We decided to buy this property because we are looking for a big enough place that can sleep our family and our relatives/friends comfortably. This cabin is not the newest and needed (and still) some love, but for the location (close to ski, while tucked safely away for the little kids to play outside), the view (of the ski slope and mountain instead of other cabin's wall), and size worked out for us.

Couple years ago, we were able to see the lake from the cabin on the Patio; but now that trees have grown taller and bigger, it has blocked the lake view and we are somewhat disappointed with that. But the mountain view with the trees standing all and the sky behind, especially during sunset or early morning when the fog is rolling over the hills, it's just beautiful.

Since we got the cabin, we have been working on improving different aspect of the cabin: flooring, furnitures, TVs, internet, bathroom, kitchen, and other smaller items. We are not finished yet; in fact, having a cabin on the mountain is pretty much continual upkeep. In the meanwhile, we enjoy it best we can and we hope you'll enjoy the cabin as much as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

In order of uniqueness (to us!):

1. The view - open windows and open living room makes the view look even more amazing

2. The privacy - the cabin is on a cul-de-sac on top of it's own 'hill'

3. Close to everything - the ski slope/parking, lake, Vons, Starbucks, CVS, bars and restaurant is still very close

4. Multiple floors - those who want to sleep (top floor) can sleep comfortably and quietly while those who are still up (bottom floor) get to be loud

5. Size - the cabin is pretty big.

The cabin is building on a cul-de-sac along a fairly long slope. During the winter time, past renters have taken advantage of that and bob-sled along the side of the cabin with their kids.

Great view and very spacious!

I stayed at the house with a group of friends. The drive up to the cabin was a bit rough because of the windy roads and hills.. We had to push the cars through the snow and had to shovel snow out of the driveway in order to pull in. Make sure you bring chains if you go in the winter! The house was very spacious and the views were beautiful! It was so nice having the Apple TV and Netflix. My favorite part was definitely the game room! Equipped with a pool table, ice hockey, and foosball, it definitely kept us occupied. The game room is on the bottom level and wasn't well vented so the heat didn't reach it. It was too cold for anyone to sleep down there. The floors were definitely very squeeky. There were a few buckles in the wooden floor and paint was chipping on the walls. The cabin was only about 2 miles from both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. The house was really nice and the beds were really comfortable. Every room had a TV (no cable in the bedrooms). We were able to fit 4 cars in the driveway (double parked). If you are just going up to the mountains for a good time with friends or family, I would definitely recommend staying here. I would stay here again.

Family Fun!

This was my family's first time spending Christmas away from home, and we couldn't have chosen a better place! thecbin had enough room for all of us and our family pup. The balcony has an amazing view, the kitchen was fully stocked and the downstairs room kept all the boys busy with the pool table and entertainment! The owner was helpful when i contacted him through e-mail when we ran into a little trouble with the wifi. Although we didn't see snowfall until it was time to check out, we still hit the slope outside the cabin and it was a good time! We will definitely be booking this cabin again! Oh, Not to mention it is just a few minuets from bear mountain!

Great View. Relaxing Time

This cabin has great views off the rear decks. We enjoyed our time in this cabin. The kids enjoyed the basement room (pool table, foosball, air hockey). This cabin was a couple miles from town which made for a quiet neighborhood but was close enough for shopping and running errands. The only drawbacks to this cabin are creaky floors and weird heating. It was much colder on upstairs than it was on the main floor. Overall, this was a great experience.

Great Cabain! Great weekend vacation!

The cabin is big, the furniture is exelent for the spaces. The kitchen is good stocked. The BBQ grill is perfect for hamburgers and BBQ's at the balcony. The game room is perfect for the kids, they have a lot of fun. the view of the leaves falling with the wind was so relaxing.
