Nice view
This house has a beautiful backyard, with great view of the little lake and golf. It has a nice trail in the back and walking around the pines and apple trees is a must.

The home was great.
Our family of 6 had plenty of room for sleeping, eating, moving about. Having 3 bathrooms was really great. Nice view out the back patio of the golf course and pond. Super short drive up to Bear Mountain and down to town was excellent. Our only complaints would be for the management company. Very limited supply of toilet paper, paper towels etc. There also wasn’t any salt and pepper. Unusual in a rental.

Great place to stay!
Big Bear Haven was a great getaway for our family! A couple notes: The layout was a little different than listed. There are 3 bedrooms but also a loft with an additional queen/full bed. The master bedroom also has two twin beds which were not listed in the description. Plus sides: There was an instant pot (though I didn’t use it because I brought my own), a blender, and a small cast iron skillet. A Brita water filter was in the fridge and ice was provided in the freezer. It was super nice to have a washer and dryer. Air hockey and fooseball were a big plus. There were some children’s books for my young kids to read. Internet worked well. Close to little sledding hill that was great for young kids. Down sides: “Full kitchen” does not include any basic condiments. I did not find any salt, pepper, or seasonings of any kind. There was a Keurig and coffee maker, but no K-cups or reusable K-cup, only some coffee grounds, green tea, and hot chocolate. There was foil, but no plastic wrap, ziplock bags, etc. Some of the slotted turners (spatulas) were broken. The bathroom with the shower/tub combo did not drain properly so when the shower was on, the bath would fill up. The hot water knob in the upstairs sink was broken. The dryer took a very long time to dry clothes, even on the highest heat setting. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay despite a few cons and would love to come back again!

Not as nice as it appears
I’ll start with the good: good location, fun air hockey table and beautiful backyard. The bad: the two beds in the master were terrible, old, uncomfortable and not queen size (they were double size). The windows were single pane and no curtains were on the living room window. Both the kitchen and living room were freezing while the bedroom would get too hot. The house was built in the 60’s which is fine but I’m pretty sure the two couches were the originals too based on how uncomfortable and dirty they were. The loveseat had no padding in the seat at all, it was like sitting on a hard slab. The owners clearly use the house as a rental and haven’t put any attention into the house to make it comfortable for guests.
