The villa is a 3 year old detached property in its own grounds of 2500 square metres, large air con &heating unit in the lounge, dining area and hall ways very secure and private with a decorative wall and large electric entrance gates with a spectacular view over the valley of Malaga down to the sea. It is a 5min drive to the town of Alhaurin de la Torre and a 10 minute drive via a scenic route to the beaches of Torremolinos parallel to Mijas by 20 minutes. Alhaurin town has all amenities including banks, supermarkets with many English products, Chinese, Spanish and Italian restaurants and many authentic tapas bars. With in 5 min drive flood lit tennis courts & gym and golf. A breakage and keys deposit of 250 pounds is required upon arrival, which will be returned to you at the end of the holiday if there are no breakage.

The villa has 2 triple bedrooms ensuite, 2 twin bedrooms ensuite and 2 twins bedrooms, 1 ensuite. The large furnished lounge also has Sat/TV. Outside, the swimming pool is mosaic tiled with Roman steps, 14 metres kidney shaped pool with sun beds. There is also a badminton court, bowls and petanque and barbeque. Welcome pack provided for arrival.

Villa Pinos has a great advantage of being only 20 minutes drive from Malaga airport, Torremolinos and Benalmadena Coast with Tivoli World, aqua parks, sea world crocodile park, and a great marina with fantastic restaurants. It really is essential to have a car, we can book cars at a competitive price for you which will be at the entrance of the airport when you arrive. You can enter the villa from 2pm Saturday but you will need to leave by 10am on the day of departure.

There is a weekly maid service . Please note the villa does not have a phone so bring a mobile if you have one. Bed linen is provided for you but towels are not and please make sure you have adequate travel and health insurance. Due to the deposit and final payment of the holiday not being returnable in case of cancellation it is up to yourselves if you wish to take a cancellation insurance.

Ski: Alhaurin de la torre Small quaint town between Malaga and Torremolinos, 7 kms. from the Mediterranean coast. Peacefully separated from the holiday crowds but within a stones throw of the beaches. Locally you have a supermarket, shops, restaurant, bar and entertainment. Nearby Leisure Activities Located in the Sierra de Mijas, near both the mountains and the sea, Alhaurine de la Torre offers all imaginable water sports in the vicinity plus the exhilaration of trekking, hiking and climbing in the peaceful surrounding countryside. Nearby Torremolinos offers unimaginable night life summer through.

This COULD be a fantastic villa but needs a bit of money spending on it. It could do with a new kitchen and air con in the bedrooms and a general facelift. Also needed a really good clean! Do not even consider this villa if you haven't got a car!! Pool is fantastic and the sauna is a bonus.

Villa Pinos

Villa Pinos is situated in a residential area about 20 minutes drive from Malaga airport.The nearest town is 5 minutes drive away, here you will find several supermarkets inculding an Aldi and Lidl where you can stock up on groceries. You really do need a car during your stay as the area is not very suitable for walking or using public transport.
The villa was clean and tidy on arrival and a welcome pack was kindly provided by Ann and Harry (the owners) who live in a small house just inside the main gates. They are on hand for any problems or questions about the area.
There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor and 3 upstairs. All were a good size with plently of wardrobe/storage space. Hairdryers and an iron are provided. The lounge/diner is spacious and comfortable with an air-con unit on the wall that provides a welcome relief from the heat outside. Our thermometer registered 37°C in the shade and 47°C in the sun by the pool.
The kitchen is a good size with all the equiptment you might need. Warning: Do not overfill the two fridges and freezer as they struggle to cope with the heat and dont keep things as cold as we are used to at home.
There are several seating areas outside, so there is always a quiet spot to sit and relax. The pool is lovely, its a good size and kept very clean, it provided hours of fun for all the family. The sun-loungers are a little worse for wear but we mangaged ok with careful handling. The jacuzzi and sauna were also popular. Some of the sports equipment is a bit old and worn but still usable. The barbecue worked well and was used several times during our stay.


We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Pinos and would recommend it to families and groups of friends who are looking for a quiet get away from it all holiday. The paths from the villa down to the pool are quite steep and may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Lovely Spacious villa with gorgeous pool

We went on a group holiday to the villa which was ideal for this purpose. The bedrooms are all spacious and clean and have fans. The living room is very spacious and the sofas are comfy enough to sleep on if you need somewhere more cool with a/c! The pool area is lovely and peaceful with a separate jacuzzi and sauna although we didnt need that in the summer heat! On the edge of a hillside the views are fantastic. The villa is in a fairly quiet residential area and car hire is REALLY essential. There are a great number of activites in the villa - pool table, table tennis badminton court, basketball and darts! I would definitely recommend this villa for a large group of people looking for a fun and relaxing holiday!

Good Holiday

There was a large party of us, aged around 50's, a few of the group found the different levels to the propery a little difficult. The rooms were spacious and easily accomodated the 12 of us. The fact that the couple who caretake the property were in an apartment in the grounds was handy for info. The pool was excellent and suited all levels of swimming ability.

12 golfers had a great week at the villa in June 2009. Ample room for everybody with loads of space to relax after our 7 rounds in 5 days. The bedrooms are all big and the bathrooms very clean. The lounge is well equipped and the kitchen large. A great feature is the little courtyard a great place to sit out and chew the fat over which was the best result on our Ryder Cup day. The villa is very close to Alhaurin and Lauro Golf courses which we played, however to travel to La Cala, Mijas etc was a long drive as the mountain road was closed which meant a long detour, approx 1 hour drive. Taxi to Benalmadena was approx 30 euros and was easy to organise.Loads of great Tapas bars and restaurants in the local town 5 minutes drive away. Anne and Harry who look after the proprty and live in a small annexe not attached to the Villa were very welcoming and we did not see them all week unless we asked for a taxi phone no etc. Our overall opinion was a great villa for a golf holiday and once the mountain road is open travel to a large number of courses would take less than 40 minutes drive. PS the best result was Ben beating Mike 4&3!!
