Enjoy your stay in paradise in this fully equipped 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home in an exclusive, walled and gated oceanfront community of 12 private two-story residences. Located on the ocean drive 4 miles south of Kailua Kona, this 2000 square foot luxury home sleeps 6. First floor: a vaulted ceiling living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, a convertible bedroom with either twin single beds or a queen bed and a hallway full bath. Upstairs: king master bedroom and king guest bedroom both with private baths. Upper and lower lanais feature a palm-framed view of breaking ocean waves in La Aloa Bay.

A great location adjacent to White Sands Beach, one mile from Kahalu’u State Park, the best snorkeling lagoon on the islands. Golf, tennis, shopping and dozens of restaurants are within a 5 mile radius. Lush tropical property features an oceanfront swimming pool and spa with fabulous ocean and sunset vistas. Wireless internet, private parking for 2 cars, no smoking, no pets, only 6 occupants of any age.

Kona Onenalo is exactly 4 miles south of the town of Kailua Kona on the coast road called Alii Drive. It is immediately south of and adjacent to White Sands Beach on La Aloa Bay, one of the premier body surfing and snorkeling sites on the Island. Kahalu'u State Beach Park is one mile south. Its huge natural saltwater lagoon may be the best 'beginner' snorkeling in the Hawaiian Islands.

Kona Country Club, a 36 hole public golf course is 2 miles away. Kailua Kona has all of the usual shopping amenities including many restaurants, local stores, Costco, Wal-Mart, Safeway, etc. The Keahou shopping center is two miles south and has restaurants, a cinema, Longs Drugs, and KTA, a local supermarket. There are many beaches, historic sites and tourist attractions in and around this area and the Volcanoes National Park is a scenic 100 mile drive away.

About Jennifer Moore

Ken and Jennifer Moore are Canadians who love Hawaii and spend six months of the year on the Big Island. They have been married for 26 years and have two children in their early twenties. After purchasing their dream home, also a vacation rental vrbo #322776, they realized the demand for quality ocean view rental property and purchased Kona Onenalo. Why Jennifer Moore chose Kailua Kona

The old adage: location, location, location is never more appropriate than here at Kona Onenalo. Built in 1979/1980, it would not be possible to duplicate this community of 12 homes right on the ocean in today's more restrictive environment. Each house has a direct ocean view and the breaking waves are only feet away. An ocean gate opens directly onto La'Aloa Bay, one of the premier snorkeling and scuba diving venues on the Kona coast. White Sands beach is 300 yards from our front door. The ocean front pool and spa offer panoramic vistas and sunsets. The property itself is meticulously maintained with lush tropical landscaping. And all of this is set in the middle of the greater Kailua-Kona area, a community filled with restaurants, shopping and many other resort amenities.

What makes this house unique

Kona Onenalo is a walled and gated community. All of the owners are mainland based and it is rare for more than 3 or 4 homes to be occupied at any given time. One of the things that we treasure about our place is that it is always peaceful, quiet and private. Alii Drive itself has a unique character. As it winds along the shoreline from the town of Kailua-Kona to the Keahou Resort 6 miles to the south, it passes several wonderful little sandy beaches as well as four favorite local surfing locations. Residents walk, jog and bike this 6 mile stretch of road at all times of the day. Kona Onenalo is the perfect combination of a private retreat set amid the hustle and bustle of a larger community.

What a great property and location! The place was just the ticket for a relaxing visit to the Big Island. Big enough for all of us. Completely appointed with the necessities. Great views and in a location convenient to everything we wanted to see and experience. We will definitely be back again.

Hard to Leave!

We did not want to leave! Everything about this "condo" (it's more like a home) was more than we could have hoped for. All the previous reviews were right on. The gorgeous views from both the bottom and top floors' huge window/doors were wonderful to wake up to every morning and enjoy all day long from the lanais, if we weren't so busy enjoying all the Big Island has to offer. Close to beaches, snorkeling and the main downtown area yet still felt secluded. Well appointed with everything you could need. We cooked in quite a bit and never had a problem finding anything we needed. Grilling on the lanai was a nice bonus. There is also plenty of beach gear: boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, towels...

There was plenty of room for my husband and I and 3 kids all in their twenties. You could get up early or stay up later without disturbing anyone else. All of the beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were nice and large, especially the master bedroom. Really, everything was perfect! We would love to be back there right now.

One of the best parts of renting this condo was working with the owners. Jen was always very helpful, easy to work with and prompt with replies both before and after our stay.

All in all, an amazing experience that we would all love to repeat!

Outstanding rental near White Sands Beach in Kona

Our stay in Kona at rental# 226615 was more than we expected. The description of the property didn't do it justice. The home was furnished in a casual yet fashionable manner that was very inviting.Everything one would need was there including beach towels, umbrella and even boogie boards. The views were exceptional and the master bedroom has the "wow" factor. The owner supplied a list of activities and places to visit that made the trip special..We walked to White Sands beach each morning for a swim. We were located a mile from our favorite restaurant, Sam Chows and just a few miles to town and Don The Beach Combers. I would highly recommend this rental!

Everything we could have asked for... and more!

I have to say the pictures here don't fully tell the story of how accommodating this property really is. There were three couples traveling together in our group and from the minute we stepped foot in the door, we were thrilled with the property. The setting is beautiful; the views and privacy are wonderful; the proximity to snorkeling and the beach are fantastic; the house it so comfortable. spacious and totally accommodating. We all commented on how there was more than we could have ever expected or hoped for provided for us there. Everything was wonderful and we wouldn't hesitate for a minute to return! We had a car and the location was just a few minutes drive into town.

Fabulous Kona location

We love the Kona area because the weather is always great.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Onenalo condo. A quick drive from downtown off of a main road and nice walk to beaches in either direction. The ocean views from the balconies and the swimming pool are outstanding. The condo has everything you need plus extras like boogie boards and snorkel equipment. We appreciated how roomy this condo is and great comfortable beds. Parking is convenient and the entrance to the condo is just a few steps inside the security gate. Look forward to staying here again.

Great house for 3 couples

We spent nine days in this home and found it to be a very convenient location. We were close to snorkeling on our south and went there two days. The house was well equipped with beach amenities snorkel gear. To our north we had the village of Kona with all the tourist attractions and restaurants. One of the highlights was the brewery tour followed by dinner at the brewery restaurant. Coconut beer was a favorite. Jennifer and her agent, Angelina, were good to work with and responded promptly to any questions.
